As US President Joe Biden touts his administration’s climate agenda, some observers are drawing attention to the consequences of the global drive towards green energy.
Abuses in Africa have attracted criticism from some influential quarters, including Amnesty International and Pope Francis.

Biden’s renewable energy crusade exploits and enslaves thousands in poor nations, says Jason Isaac, the founder and CEO of the American Energy Institute.
The human suffering caused by mining for electric vehicle batteries and wind turbine construction is unimaginable — as is the environmental destruction caused by these mines and their toxic byproducts,
As the head of a group funded by US-based petroleum producers, Isaac has ample incentive to critique the burgeoning green energy industry. But he isn’t the only one questioning the response to the climate crisis.

The sustainable development goals set a target for the elimination of child labor of 2025, says Ben Smith, a senior technical officer focused on child labor at the International Labor Organization. We are far from achieving it.
A key issue is the mining of cobalt, an important component of many rechargeable batteries.
The metal is mined throughout the African continent, especially in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and the working conditions of those extracting it often attract harsh criticism.

Cobalt is a critical component in rechargeable car batteries, and the European Union’s 2030 climate target will only increase demand for this metal.
Despite the [European] commission’s zero‑tolerance approach to child labor in trade agreements, it is estimated, according to reports by UN agencies, that in the southern Katanga province, more than 40,000 children are working in hazardous conditions in cobalt mines with inadequate safety equipment and for very little money.

Reports indicate children sometimes labor for $5 per day working long hours in dangerous tunnels where they’re often exposed to cancer-causing chemicals. The conditions have been called modern-day child slavery.
Labor in cobalt mining is a serious violation of children’s rights that puts the health and safety, and even the lives of many children, at risk, says Smith.
This vicious cycle of poverty and child labor must be broken for the sake of the children exposed to this harsh reality and for the social and economic progress of countries like the DRC.

Professor Chukwuemezie Raphael Eze of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria says the low wages serve another important purpose for Western companies beyond merely the cheap acquisition of raw materials.
Low pay and poor conditions drive Africans to migrate to the United States and Europe where they can also be utilized for cheap labor.
Eze claims the economic consequences destabilize Africa’s political economy while Western collaboration with local militias drives a divide-and-conquer policy that undermines internal unity.

Transnational mining giants are eager to cash in on the global trend towards renewable energy, and human rights group Amnesty International notes they don’t always play fair.
The people living in the region should be benefiting from the growth in mining, said the organization in a report focusing on the DRC’s southern province of Lualaba.
Instead, many are being forced out of their homes and farmland to make way for the expansion of large-scale industrial mining projects.

The report claimed that industrial giants often remove people from their land with little concern for the rights of affected communities and little heed for national laws meant to curtail forced evictions in the mining sector.
In the villages of Samukonga and Tshamundenda, hundreds lost access to nearby farmland. Farmers told Amnesty International they were sometimes forced to accept insufficient compensation for their land while being intimidated by the presence of military officials.
Some received no compensation at all. Military personnel sometimes used unlawful force while evicting residents, or destroyed farmers’ crops without notice.

One evicted victim claimed that she was sexually assaulted by military forces while attempting to retrieve crops. When residents were compensated with new housing, it was often cheaply-built and lacked running water, electricity, and sewage connections.
The forced evictions taking place as companies seek to expand industrial-scale copper and cobalt mining projects are wrecking lives and must stop now.
Experts say mining transnationals’ conduct in Africa perpetuates a cycle wherein the continent serves to provide cheap raw materials for the West rather than developing economically, a phenomenon called dependency syndrome.

The Western preaching of human rights and democracy promotion in relation to Africa is of double standard and national interest-oriented as despotic African leaders that cooperate with Western parasitic economic interests are protected, says Eze.
Anti-imperialistic and nationalistic leaders are always either directly or indirectly eliminated, visited with excruciating sanctions, or arbitrary sent to International Criminal Court.
Economic interests have long been recognized to be a major driver of the West’s foreign policy, as when Belgium backed the assassination of pan-Africanist leader Patrice Lumumba.

French interests are said to be behind the killing of African revolutionary Thomas Sankara in Burkina Faso, and research has shown the involvement of US-trained military officers in a dozen coups throughout the continent.
The combined effects of political and economic interference mean that the historical pattern of Western exploitation of Africa continues, a relationship that Ghanian politician Kwame Nkrumah termed neocolonialism.
The angle of human rights abuse has, over the past few decades, been referred to by academics as the ‘Resource Curse, says researcher Ashraf Patel, a thesis that says if a nation has valuable resources that the global economy needs (i.e. oil, minerals, coal, copper) than it is bound to be cursed with conflict.

Patel noted a similar pattern throughout the 1990’s when cell phones first saw widespread adoption. At that time lithium was the hot commodity. Today it’s joined by copper and cobalt.
In a sense African development is frozen and trapped in this ‘Back to The Future’ dystopia.

At an event earlier this year in DRC capital Kinshasa, Pope Francis spoke with uncharacteristic bluntness regarding the economic forces that stifle Africa’s development.
Hands off Africa. Stop choking Africa. It is not a mine to be stripped or a terrain to be plundered. After decades of exploitation, many Africans feel the same.
And while Western leaders claim companies based in China and elsewhere merely seek to duplicate the same patterns of dependency and debt trap diplomacy, several African leaders have found solidarity with fellow nations in the Global South.

The most promising new multilateral institution-forum is BRICS Plus, which is offering a more equitable deal for the Developing South and for Africa.
Institutions such as the New Development Bank and alternative currencies, as well as technology support can go a long way to meet the real development and industrial needs.
Patel called BRICS the anchor of the Global South and praised its potential to reconfigure global power relations.

While US-backed institutions like the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have required countries receiving loans to pursue Neo-liberal structural adjustment policies that open the doors to Western multinationals, China-backed development programs are largely agnostic over the policy pursued by other nations.
Africa refutes the view that a new colonialism is taking hold in Africa as our detractors would have us believe, said South African president Cyril Ramaphosa at a recent forum on China-Africa cooperation.

Rather than viewing China as a predatory force, many African nations instead see the Asian power as an inspirational example of a formerly poor country able to dramatically improve its economic position. Some leaders are even pursuing greater ideological cooperation with Chinese leaders.
Professor Eze advocates the rise of courageous political leadership across the continent and the strengthening of ties with the less exploitative and less dehumanizing world powers like Russia and China.
The academic claims the two countries offer checks and balances on the world stage, challenging a global paradigm where might makes right and justice is the advantage of the stronger.

The Curacao puppet PAR/MAN government seated in Fort Amsterdam had decided to definitely close down its lucrative oil refinery, forcing 6.000 employees and their families to find their livelihood somewhere else.
The ISLA refinery was operated by PdVSA from Venezuela, but the Dutch diplomats did their best to cut off all relations with neighboring Caracas, in order to close down the oil refinery. American oil giant, that also occupies oil fields in Syria, designed a report that envisions to destroy the Curacao economy.

Earlier the Dutch colonialist invaders pressed the corrupted and crooked PAR/MAN government into aiding the tourist industry by building infrastructure with local tax payers money and handing over the airport (Swiss management) and harbor activities (Dutch management) to foreign capitalist entities.
With the closing of the lucrative oil refinery, the last resource and chapter of government income will disappear together with the entire local born community.
The Gaza style ethnic cleansing project started 20 years ago, when the Dutch lured Curacao into an economic trap by offering them an fake autonomous status.

Meaning that Curacao is now responsible for the fascist decisions made by the political establishment in the Hague.
Now most of the local born children have been deported to the Netherlands, where they can live their lives in the cold blooded and rainy Muslim enhancing environment.
The island of Curacao now belong to the Dutch colonial invaders again, occupying its so-called autonomous territory in order to rake in large tax free profits. Isolated from Venezuela and its own roots, local born traitors have offered their society hell on earth.

Eco terrorists have taken over all the islands pristine beaches for only the tourist industry to profit from. KLM and American Airlines have derailed the income of the local carriers, so only they can double regular airfares.
Curacao has the Sun and is situated outside the Hurricane zone, so the good weather and its Dutch oriented hotels and resorts can plunder themselves into eternity without paying certain public taxes.

The highly polluting airline- and cruise tourism industry are dumping their waste in the pristine local landscape and blue Caribbean Sea, so expensive alcohol serving bars and restaurants are able to pollute the environment.
No problem here, because the fake media will glorify the invasive tax evading establishment.
The Dutch are well known for the invasive mentality and colonial attitudes for their businesses to flourish at the expense of the occupied territories. The Netherlands are second largest narco-state in the world behind the USA.

Curacao is the haven for gambling licenses, human trafficking gangsters and prostitution rings, and now the tourism industry is providing the establishments with worldwide tourist victims to profit from, under the disguise of development.
So now Curacao is building prisons instead of schools and children playgrounds or local jobs, in order for the colonial dictators and their mind controlled slaves to profit from.
The only local born brave personalities still making a descent living are MLB players, represented in the upcoming World Series Championship and the football squad, founded in 1921, that is qualifying for the CONCACAF Caribbean Nations Cup.

Lebanon battled rapidly spreading wildfires for a third straight day Friday after they destroyed pine forests and threatened homes in northern areas. It’s spreading in all directions, fanned by high winds and has reached neighboring Syria.
The blaze that started Wednesday in Lebanon’s remote Akkar region “is spreading quickly over large areas. The blaze, which has killed a 15-year-old volunteer firefighter and forced many people from their homes, gained pace overnight.

The area affected by the fire expanded significantly overnight… approaching orchards, farmland and some homes evacuated by their residents. There is no official estimate of the size of the area affected yet.
The army deployed two helicopters early Friday to help douse the flames and more local volunteers joined the firefighting effort. The Red Cross treated one volunteer with breathing difficulties.
George Abou Moussa of Lebanon’s civil defense said firefighting teams were working to contain the blaze, but there are areas that are out of reach.

The Lebanese government doesn’t have access to many firefighting aircraft,” and is pinning its hopes on assistance from Cyprus, Greece and neighboring Syria. For it’s part, Syria said that it has managed to contain fires spreading from Lebanese territory.
The fire that spread from Lebanese territory to the Qusayr region has been completely extinguished, the state SANA news agency reported, citing the director of Syria’s civil defense.

Since the Dutch-backed political party, PAR restructured the economic system for Curacao, the islands education was commercialized, unemployment rates have skyrocketed which dumped the population into extreme poverty, resulting in racism and organized crime.
Fake news media sites censor the economic deportation of its citizens, while Dutch capitalists took control over the government, in order for them to hop over local coastline properties to NGO’s. This all to avoid being upset by the 2030 UN obligatory decolonization rulings and keep full corporate control over Curacao.

Curacao has turned into a police state regime, with Dutch Army, Military Police and Marines stationed on the island, backed up by (US/Canadian) Coast Guard forces, RST, VKC, DEA and other armed security units, each with their own jurisdiction.
However, under the watchful eye of these forces, crime is on to rise, something not even the local police force is able to address. What makes Curacao interesting for the global corporate travel industry is that the ABC-islands are not part of Caribbean hurricane zone, so no travel cancellations here.

The current billions in government (tax payers)debt was established by funding tourist infrastructure (example : Zakito at Piscadera <fl.150 million>), CAP New Airport, Cruise Ship Pier <fl.150 million >) and subsidizing tourist development (Hotels like Corendon < with APC citizens retirement money>).
Now this accumulated debt is used against the (so-called autonomous) island of Curacao in order to squeeze more land grab assets into the Dutch colonial hands. Welcome to the fascist Freak Show and Nazi-born commercial tourist industry.
Nobody escapes the experienced Dutch invaders, which have been in the confiscating business for some 500 years in a row, even the first global (*Amsterdam) stock market was incorporated to slice away colonial proceeds and profits, which the Dutch used to build their infrastructure like highways, bridges and runnels.
Dutch companies and people are used to draw choking contracts with third parties in order for them to comply with the agreements, they themselves never make ends meet, and just plunder away, for it is the easiest way to cash in huge profits at the expense of their victims.

Agricultural water has been hijacked to fill up the swimming pools of the Dutch invaders, while the toxic waste from cruise ships and resorts are dumped into the sea and on land, instead of being recycled or contained.
The tax evading tourism sector blows away the rights of the local people, while using their properties and tax money to develop their dubious projects along the Caribbean coastlines.
The local government spends a majority of their time on how to form an educational system for illegal immigrants or how to implement local waste or general management, instead of supporting the local community.

Expensive projects are financed by banking authorities, fending with employment illusions that never materialize. The return of investments are horrible and really a disgrace to human kind.
All the costs of the infrastructure are coughed up by the impoverished local taxpayers, in order for the tourism industry to rake away the profits, evading local taxes. The carbon footprint of the plundering industry is the worst on planet Earth.
UNESCO also plays a important role in the Dutch settlement scheme, controlling some down town properties listed under their command and rulings. The scuba diving industry is silently destroying the underwater environment by overcapacity the reef and fish environment..

Bonaire has rules the protect their underwater properties, by putting a cap of maximum scuba visitors, but than again Bonaire is to be developed to be Dutch style Monaco, while Curacao is heading to be the largest illegal employment market in the Caribbean, introducing slavery all over again.
Mass tourism is a very lucrative business especially if it is supported by so-called tax holidays, sucking all profits made out the island. Even the Curacao guilder will be replaced by a new Caribbean guilder, in order to wipe away all tracks off capital money laundering.
The former president of the central bank, E Tromp must now take the blame for the Dutch corporations to wash their hands clean, as he is being prosecuted by a kangaroo court, after all archives seem to have disappeared for some strange reason.

Air travel makes up about 2.5% of global carbon emissions, but it’s one of the most carbon-intensive activities per passenger. Without intervention, CO2 emissions from commercial aircraft are on course to triple by 2050 according to SBTi.
Airplanes, cruise ships and buses that visit these commercialized pristine territories in exchange for money to pollute the atmosphere without any descent compromise to compensate for their major emissions.
The development is a hoax, as long as the tourism industry does not provide the necessary income to help the local born islanders to improve their lives giving up their cultural coastlines, while wildlife gets chased away by the visitors of the mass tourism industry.

The only Natural enemy of a local politician is sobriety say the protagonist’s. The Dutch-backed regime gets its orders from the mother of all narco-states, the Netherlands.
One qualifies (definition) as a narco-state at the moment lawmakers and politicians are into the lucrative game. The fake media will cover up the traces and will glorify the guilty, while the zombie crowd follows in their misleading footsteps.

The central point of attack is to derail the traditions and culture for it to be replaced with a new narrative, providing the Dutch with an open shooting range to glorify and justify their colonial invasion.
The corner stone tourist postcard building example (Plaza Hotel and the Fort it was build on) is being destroyed as we speak. This going to be replaced by a new super ugly glass design, contradicting the local city building codes.

This is how capitalism works, commit the crime and blame the opposition, or lock up victims in jail, or otherwise even assassinate the enemy might be lucrative as well.
Properties at Blue Bay are now being sold for $3 million for 1000m2. Speculation on investment is the vampire of the settlement invasion. This way only the super rich are able to buy properties and build luxury housing along the coastline of Curacao.
The first Dutch King William I (1772-1843) made the family fortune by selling opium and invented the stock markets in order to let the people’s money flow into the pockets of the royal families and their co conspirators. Now the poppy trade (Afghanistan) has become illegal to protect their income.

The same capitalist formula is used to drain Curacao and take away its geographic assets. The airport and harbors are leased to foreign entities in order for them to control the lucrative trade routes.
Curacao Airport Partners (CAP) and Swiss Port run the human trafficking business, as CAP has been allowed to keep all the government stipulated airport taxes to fill up their own pockets bragging about making profits to glorify the intrusive settlers. No return on investment here for the local taxpayers.
The ABC-Islands function as the spring board from South America to Europe and the USA. No one is allowed to control these geopolitical trade flows, other than the Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) and other Anglo-Zion sea bound cargo carriers.

Dry Docks are the essential shackles in the chain, in order to keep the ships well maintained for business.
Those macro economic tools spearhead the recolonization of Curacao. With NGO’s confiscating the islands properties via land grab formulas. No autonomy here, just a hoax presented as economic development.
As it stands for now, over half of the local population has been deported to Amsterdam, with help of the modern flying pirate-ships of the Caribbean. Money and hyper inflation has been weaponized to make this all happen.
In the meanwhile, in order to share the foreign income, Colombians control the beef and construction industries and other markets in Curacao. Also the Italian gambling industry is in on the ball. Money laundering is one of main businesses for the island mafia paradise to lean on.

Russia completed the delivery of the last batch of five Sukhoi Su-35 multi-role air superiority fighter jets to China last month, with Washington slapping Beijing with sanctions over its purchase of Russian military hardware, including the Su-35’s.
China Central Television has released footage of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force’s using its new Su-35 fighters, showing the planes taking off, flying in formation, engaging in breakneck maneuvers and attacking mock targets.

China purchased two dozen Su-35 fighters from Russia for $2.5 billion in late 2015, with delivery of the planes completed in November, 2018.
China became the first foreign customer of the Russian 4++ generation fighter, and has already been seen deploying its Su-35s on patrol missions in the South China Sea.
The aircraft are now based with the Sixth Aviation Brigade in Suji, Guangdong province, southeastern China.

The FCC proposed a new regulatory framework at its meeting to facilitate satellite-to-cell service and collaboration between satellite operators and wireless companies — part of the Commission’s single network future.
The Commission adopted a previously released notice of proposed rule-making (NPRM) during the March 16 meeting, with all four commissioners voting to adopt.

It deals with allowing satellite operators to get FCC authorization to operate satellites using terrestrial spectrum. The Commission is also proposing to add a mobile-satellite service allocation on some terrestrial flexible-use bands.
This would allow a satellite operator to partner with a terrestrial mobile licensee to get access to their terrestrial spectrum through a lease arrangement and modification to the satellite operator’s license.
Then the satellite system can provide service directly to the subscribers of the wireless carrier in areas where the carrier lacks coverage, FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel said in a statement.

An NPRM is part of FCC rule-making process, which proposes changes to the commission’s rules and seeks public comment on these proposals. NPRM’s are followed by a report and order, in which the commission would develop new rules.
The FCC will also seek comment on how this framework can support emergency response systems, and whether the framework can be extended to other bands, locations, and applications.
Rosenworcel called it part of the Commission’s vision of a single network future, in which fiber networks, terrestrial wireless systems, next-generation unlicensed technology, and satellite broadband work together seamlessly to connect everyone and everything around us.

By providing clear rules, I believe we can kick start more innovation in the space economy while also expanding wireless coverage in remote, un-served, and under-served areas.
We can make mobile dead zones a thing of the past. But even better, we have an opportunity to bring our spectrum policies into the future and move past the binary choices between mobile spectrum on the one hand or satellite spectrum on the other.
Satellite-to-cell is a major topic in the satellite industry as telcos and device and chip manufacturers like T-Mobile, Apple, and Qualcomm strike deals with satellite operators to provide satellite-to-cell service.

The NPRM has bipartisan appeal, and Republican Commissioners Brendan Carr and Nathan Simington, along with Rosenworcel’s fellow Democrat Geoffrey Starks, released their own statements.
The item we adopt today recognizes that consumers don’t care whether the signal was beamed to their device from a tower on top of an office building or from a satellite orbiting the Earth, Commissioner Carr said in a statement.
They only care that they have access to an affordable, high-quality connection. Space mobile services, like those envisioned by this item, will help extend coverage even further across the country to keep consumers connected across rural and remote areas.

Shares of Big Pharma companies including Modena and Pfizer exploded on Wednesday following two reports of human bird flu infections, one in the US and another in Australia.
Bill Gates has already mobilized the Gates Foundation to organize urgent global distribution of his new bird flu vaccine.

On Wednesday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported a farm worker who had high exposure to infected livestock developed mild symptoms and has recovered.
The current health risk to the general public remains low, Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian, Michigan’s chief medical executive, said in a news release.
We have not seen signs of sustained human-to-human transmission at this point. This is exactly how public health is meant to work, in early detection and monitoring of new and emerging illnesses.

For several years, the H5N1 strain of avian flu has swept the world, killing hundreds of millions of farmed and wild birds, if not more. An evolution of the virus appears to be infecting humans.
Earlier this month, a Texan farm worker has contracted bird flu from an infected cow, marking the first time the HSN1 virus has been recorded spreading from mammals to humans, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Incredibly, in what the media claimed was a coincidence, a Bill Gates-funded bird flu vaccine for that strain has just entered trials.
Goldman analysts pointed out yesterday evening that green shoots across Vax Names following reports of human bird-flu infections confirmed in the US and Australia.

They noted vaccine companies, including Moderna, jumped 14%, BioNTech +11%, CureVac +18%, and Novavax +5.3%.
On a monthly basis, bird flu headlines in all of the corporate media have surged to record highs. Must push fear before elections.
Perhaps imposing a moratorium on gain-of-function experiments due to the concern for all humanity is the most prudent move forward before over-educated Ivy League idiots potentially start the next great pandemic.

UFO’s and extraterrestrial phenomena are not new. There are traces of them all over Earth’s history. One of the best-known instances of this is from ancient Egypt. And recent discoveries suggest that an alien civilization took over Earth on July 29, 1203 B.C.
It is a popular belief that in the ancient times, humans were invaded by extraterrestrial beings. No one has ever found any evidence of this until now.

It has emerged that the ancient Egyptians and some other ancient civilizations were visited by extraterrestrials. This is evident from a number of scientific evidence such as the fossilized remains of an extraterrestrial species found in an Egyptian tomb.
Archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass and his team of researchers have discovered drawings on four walls inside a pyramid in Saqqara, Egypt that date back to 1203 BC.

These drawings depict a battle between an alien army and humans where the alien army prevailed. Despite the drawing’s age, Hawass says the discovery is very important and shocking because it reveals that aliens likely visited Earth in ancient times.
The images were confirmed to be drawn by archaic Egyptians who had seen these creatures and wanted to preserve this memory for future generations. The following story is a science fiction scene depicting the ancient history of Earth.
In 1203 BC, the inhabitants of Earth experienced a change in planetary government.

An advanced alien civilization took over and ruled over their planet with an iron fist for hundreds of years. This new dominant civilization did not tolerate any form of dissent or questioning of its authority.
The people were powerless to do anything about it.
The new regime would also kill anyone that dared to question their motives or behavior by crushing them with their advanced weaponry, assassinating them through poison, or simply eliminating them with chemicals that took away their free will and forced them into submission.

Ancient temple scribes and ministers wrote the first accounts of this incident. These records were full of astonishment, dread, and wonder. These clerics gathered accounts from thousands of concerned ancient Egyptians when they saw two blinding celestial lights.
Ancient Egyptians meticulously recorded these accounts on stone slabs. Archaeologists unearthed these slabs along the remains of Oyast around 1890 to 1920.

Official records of these slabs were initially neglected because they could potentially cause unnecessary conflicts for society and science. Regardless, some did not budge and ensured that these slabs were studied.
They determined that the event happened in 1203 B.C. While Egyptologists dismissed this information as strange incidents, they actually resulted from people lacking the technical expertise to explain what they saw.

According to what was written on the slabs, the strange lights they saw were in the form of a human, an animal, and a chimera. Given their limited understanding, ancient Egyptians thought these figures in the sky were a manifestation of the Demon God himself.
Regarding what they understood about their world, this was the only plausible explanation they could give about the event.
However, some speculations surround this curious event from antiquity. Some assume that hostiles caused these events. They believe that this was when an alien civilization took over Earth.

They said these aliens were also the ones who made and left the several other unexplained artifacts we found in Egypt. If this was true, this could help us connect the dots and help us understand the true history of our planet.
Unfortunately, the ancient scribes could only do so much. Time has taken away most of the memory of the world. But for each record, artifact, or account they left, once we find them, we will slowly realize their dream of not being forgotten.
Only time can tell what else we can find as we continue to search for answers about our past.

According to respected physicists, we are on the Verge of discovering Fifth Dimension and it will change everything we know about physics.
Scientists are occasionally questioned about whether they undertake new experiments in the lab or continue to duplicate prior ones with predictable results.
While most scientists do the former, scientific growth also depends on doing the latter and validating whether what we think we know is still true in light of new information.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) examined the structure and properties of the much-studied silicon in fresh experiments, and the results shed insight on a possible place for detecting the ‘fifth force.
According to a news release, this could help us better understand how nature operates.
Simply put, we only need three dimensions of space, namely north-south, east-west, and up-down, and one dimension of time, namely past-future, to make sense of the world.

However, as Albert Einstein argued in his theory of gravity, mass warps the dimensions of space-time.
According to the BBC’s Science Focus, in the 1920’s, Oskar Klein and Theodor Kaluza proposed the five-dimensional hypothesis to explain the forces of nature, in addition to gravity, the only known electromagnetic force.

The discovery of strong and weak nuclear forces, however, advanced Klein and Kaluza’s hypothesis, which was merged with electromagnetic forces to develop the Standard Model, which explains most but not all natural occurrences.
As physicists turn to String Theory to explain why gravity is so weak, the idea of a vast fifth dimension resurfaces, which could also explain the presence of dark matter.
To gain a better understanding of silicon’s crystalline structure, NIST researchers bombarded it with neutrons and evaluated the intensity, angles, and intensities of these particles to draw conclusions about the structure.

Standing waves are generated in between and on top of atom rows or sheets as neutrons pass through the crystalline structure.
When these waves meet, they produce tiny patterns known as pendellösung oscillations, which provide information about the forces encountered by neutrons within the structure.

Each force is communicated by carrier particles, whose range is proportional to their mass.
As a result, a massless particle, such as a photon, has an infinite range and vice versa. Limiting the range over which a force can operate also limits its potency.

Evidence for a 5th force found in radioactive decay.
Recent experiments have been able to limit the strength of the putative fifth force on a length scale spanning from 0.02 to 10 nanometers, providing a range in which to seek for the fifth dimension in which this force operates.
Further research in this area could soon lead to the discovery of the fifth dimension, and for the first time in schools, physics instructors, like students, would have to wrap their heads around an abstract concept.

Russia has every reason to believe that components of biological weapons have been developed in the immediate vicinity of Russian borders.
In particular, Moscow has observed the USA and its allies conducting biological warfare research beyond their own national borders, including on the territories on Russia’s doorstep?

Russia finds it unacceptable, that foreign military officials working in countries bordering Russia have been sampling human pathogens and exporting national collections of infectious diseases, including extremely dangerous and vaccine-resistant strains.
A senior Russian diplomat, Sergei Ryabkov reported this @ a briefing ahead of the 9th Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention, which will take place in Switzerland from November 28 to December 16, 2022.
The convention prohibits the development, production and stockpiling of biological and toxin weapons, and advocates their destruction.

Ryabkov said Russia would present the proof of the USA conducting such research in Ukraine on the sidelines of the upcoming Geneva conference.
Washington has denied researching in the field in violation of the biological weapons convention, which it signed up to and ratified in the 1970’s.
Russia has been circulating its findings on the Pentagon’s pathogen research in Ukraine since March but Ukrainian authorities and their US sponsors have repeatedly brushed aside these signals and claims.

Russia will now seek to improve trust-building measures in the convention to hold signatories accountable for conducting illicit research abroad.
After the beginning of the special military op in Ukraine, Russian forces discovered multiple US-funded facilities with evidence of bio-warfare studies.
At first, the White House denied such activities, but in June 2022, the USA admitted funding 46 bio-labs in Ukraine. However, both Washington and Kiev deny that the biological labs served military purposes, claiming they were being used for peaceful research only.

The USA threatened to directly attack the Russian homeland moving substantially closer toward open military confrontation with both Russia and China.
UN Ambassador to NATO, Kay Bailey Hutchison accused Russia of violating the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty by developing a nuclear cruise missile and said that Washington was preparing to “take out” the weapon with a US strike.

This statement came just three days after a Chinese warship set a collision course with a US destroyer carrying out a so-called “freedom of navigation” operation in the South China Sea, forcing the American ship to maneuver to avoid a collision and the potentially deadliest military clash in the Pacific in decades.
The erosion of American manufacturing over the last two decades threatens to undermine the ability of U.S. manufacturers to meet national security requirements.
The promotion of US manufacturing dominance, in other words, is vital for promoting military dominance.
The protection of heavy industry goes together with the administration’s efforts to defend America’s high-tech sector, the source of a vast portion of US profitability.

The Pentagon’s plans for protecting and expanding the US high-tech sector include its backing for the administration’s efforts to limit the admission of Chinese students to US universities through visa restrictions.
The report complains that, with as many as 25% of “STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics] graduates in the USA being Chinese students, American universities are contributing to China’s economic and military rise.”
However, Chinese universities deliver 200.000 engineers every year, while the US universities only produce 4.000 engineers annually.

The central target of such measures will be the forcible suppression of the class struggle in the name of promoting “national security.”
The escalation of global US militarism has coincided with a major upsurge in the class struggle, including the rejection of a concessions contract by workers at UPS, the logistics giant whose powerful workforce is capable of crippling not just America’s industrial base, but substantial sections of the wartime economy.
Unfortunately the US military industry has fallen far behind in technology, with disadvantages on every level, offensively and defensively.
US warships cannot safely navigate anymore, because Chinese development of aircraft carrier killer-tech like Donfeng hypersonic missile, while the Russians lead in the field of electronic warfare.

In March 2002, the Larsen B Ice Shelf collapsed catastrophically, breaking up an area about one-sixth the size of Tasmania.
In a paper published today in Scientific Reports, we used nearly 1,000 film photographs of Antarctica from the 1960’s to reconstruct exactly what five glaciers were like decades before the Larsen B Ice Shelf collapse.

This allowed us to precisely calculate their contribution to sea-level rise. Although Antarctica is far away, and changing conditions there may seem distant, the changes can have a profound effect for us all.
The removal of an ice shelf can cause glaciers to rapidly melt into the ocean and raise global sea levels. After consecutive years of unusually warm temperatures, the Larsen B Ice Shelf collapsed over the course of a week.

This induced dramatic change for the glaciers that used to flow into it. The glaciers have since been thoroughly monitored – but there were few observations of them before 2002.
However, an archive of more than 300,000 historical images contains an invaluable record of this area from 1968 and helped us measure the difference between then and now.

Ice shelves are thick floating bodies of ice attached to the coastline of Antarctica. The melting of an ice shelf does not directly cause sea-level rise.
However, ice shelves hold back the flow of glaciers. Once the shelves are removed, glaciers rapidly melt into the ocean. This transfers ice from the land to the ocean and causes sea-level rise.
To accurately predict how Antarctica’s glaciers will respond to future climate change, it is critical to understand how they have responded in the past.

But some places in Antarctica are so remote, it is almost prohibitively difficult and expensive to get there and gather data.
Scientists often look to satellites to collect data because it is relatively cheap and easy. However, persistent cloud cover on the Antarctic Peninsula can interfere with satellite observations for most of the year.
This means that for many areas in Antarctica, observations are rare and often short-term.

Between 1946 and 2000, United States Navy cartographers flew over almost every corner of Antarctica recording 330,000 high-quality, large-format film photographs in an effort to map the continent.
Scans of the photographs have been archived by the Polar Geospatial Center, University of Minnesota and are available to freely download. These photographs are as high resolution as what many modern satellites can capture.
We created accurate and real-world scaled 3D models of five glaciers in the Larsen B area using a technique called photogrammetry.

Traditional photogrammetry uses two overlapping photos from different angles to create a 3D surface – like how our two eyes can visualize objects in three dimensions.
Advances in computing now allow hundreds of overlapping photos to be combined with relative ease. Matching points in overlapping photos are detected automatically and their 3D position is calculated geometrically.
An accurate glacier surface can then be made from a cloud of millions of matching points.
Identifiable features in the images with known coordinates, like nearby mountain peaks or uniquely shaped boulders, can then be assigned a GPS point to scale the model.

After comparing five glaciers in 1968 and 2001 (the latter just months before the collapse), we found they were relatively unchanged.
After the collapse, the glaciers lost 35 billion tons of land-based ice. From one large glacier, 28 billion tons was lost: equivalent to around 0.1 mm of global sea-level rise.

This doesn’t sound like much, but is the result of one glacier from one event. Put another way, it is equal to every single person on Earth tipping out a one liter water bottle every day for ten years.
These images were essential to observing the glaciers in high resolution decades before they were affected by the ice shelf collapse.

As climate change accelerates, warming of the atmosphere and ocean threatens the remaining ice shelves on the Antarctic Peninsula.
The historical image archive will become increasingly important to extend the record of change and establish just how significantly things are changing.
The same images could be used to investigate other ice shelves or glaciers, changes to coastlines, penguin colonies, the expansion of vegetation, or even direct human impacts.

The European Union promises to make a multi-trillion dollar contribution to a new international fund for climate damages, which are contributed by same corporations that will receive these funds, while polluting the planet, the Commission announced last week.
Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra met with COP28 President Sultan Al Jaber in Brussels on Monday (13 November). In a joint statement, they declared their shared conviction that the climate summit must achieve the highest possible ambition.

It must accelerate practical action on mitigation, adaptation loss and damage and climate finance and build a fully inclusive COP28 that leaves no one behind.
The substantial financial contribution by the EU and its member states to the loss and damage fund will be announced during the climate summit in Dubai which begins at the end of November, according to the Commission.
The joint statement adds that this pledge will come in the context of an ambitious outcome at COP28. No details have so far been given about the exact size of the planned contribution.

The international fund to address the destruction caused by climate change – known as the loss and damage fund – is set to be launched during COP28.
Countries agreed to launch it at last year’s UN climate summit in Egypt. It was hailed as a breakthrough by vulnerable states which have long demanded funding from wealthy nations whose historic carbon emissions have overwhelmingly caused climate change.
Last month a group of negotiators met to figure out the structure of this crucial fund. But some, including the USA and several developing countries, expressed disappointment with the final draft agreement which will be sent for world leaders to sign at COP28.

The US State Department said in a statement that it was pleased that an agreement had been reached but regretted the consensus among negotiators on donations being voluntary was not included in the final draft text.
Developing countries expressed concern over high costs and the fund temporarily being hosted by the World Bank.
At the time Hoekstra celebrated the agreement on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying all parties can contribute to it – and I believe that all who have the ability to should do so.

The UAE is currently exempt from contributing to the fund but large oil and gas producing countries have faced pressure to become donors in the run-up to COP28.
The COP28 President welcomed the financial commitment from the EU, saying that the loss and damage fund could impact billions of people, lives and livelihoods who are vulnerable to the effects of climate change.

The joint statement from Al Jaber and Hoekstra also said that the successful completion of the Global Stocktake – the first report card on the world’s progress towards Paris Agreement goals – should mark a turning point on climate action.
It highlighted the need for COP28 to send a signal on the just energy transition, driving an emissions reduction of 43% by 2030. This is how much the IPCC says emissions need to be cut from 2019 levels to keep global warming within 1.5C.
Hoekstra added that the Commission is planning to announce funding to support countries in meeting a global pledge to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030.
