Het onderwerp over eigendom en toegankelijkheid van de stranden op de Nederlandse Antillen is al jaren een discussiepunt. Van wie zijn de stranden op Bonaire, Curaçao, etc.?
Veel mensen zijn de toegang tot stranden geweigerd. Sommige mensen, eigenaren en uitbaters die aan de kust wonen, eigenen zich de stranden toe, wat tot ergernis en discussies leidt op sociale media anno 2024.
Openbaarheid van Stranden :
Op Curaçao zijn alle stranden officieel openbaar volgens de Landsverordening Openbare Wateren en Stranden (PB 1989, no. 77). Deze wet bepaalt dat de kuststrook tot 50 meter vanaf de hoogwaterlijn tot het openbaar domein behoort. Hierdoor heeft iedereen recht op vrije toegang tot deze gebieden.
Bedrijven mogen faciliteiten zoals strandstoelen, parasols en toiletten aanbieden, maar zij mogen de toegang tot het strand zelf niet volledig blokkeren.
Artikel 24, 25 en 26 uit Boek 5 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek van Curaçao :
Hier is een eenvoudige uitleg van de relevante artikelen die de eigendom en toegankelijkheid van stranden regelen:
- Artikel 24: Onroerende zaken die geen andere eigenaar hebben, behoren toe aan het Land Curaçao waar zij zijn gelegen.
- Wat betekent dit? Onroerende zaken zoals land en gebouwen zonder specifieke eigenaar worden automatisch eigendom van de overheid van Curaçao.
- Artikel 25: De bodem van de territoriale zee is eigendom van het Land Curaçao.
- Wat betekent dit? De zeebodem binnen de territoriale wateren van Curaçao is eigendom van de overheid.
- Artikel 26: De stranden der zee, de grond onder de binnenwateren, alsmede de grote en kleine eilanden en platen die in die wateren voorkomen, worden vermoed eigendom te zijn van het Land Curaçao waar zij zijn gelegen.
- Wat betekent dit? Stranden, de grond onder binnenwateren en de eilanden worden beschouwd als eigendom van de overheid, tenzij het tegendeel wordt bewezen.
- Beperking van de openbaarheid van stranden door vervreemding, bezwaring, ingebruikgeving of anderszins, behoeft een bij landsverordening te verlenen bijzondere toestemming.
- Wat betekent dit? Beperkingen van de toegankelijkheid van stranden vereisen speciale wettelijke toestemming via een specifieke landsverordening.
Voor de volledige tekst van deze artikelen kunt u de officiële bron raadplegen: Burgerlijk Wetboek van Curaçao, Boek 5. Caracasbaai is het enige door PAR beloofde overgebleven strand waar het lokale volk van Curacao nog onbetaalde toegang tot heeft.
Kan iemand eigenaar worden van een strand op Curaçao?
Gezien artikel 25 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek van Curaçao is de bodem van de territoriale zee eigendom van het Land Curaçao. Voor stranden, zoals vermeld in artikel 26, blijft de eigendom bij de overheid tenzij er speciale wettelijke toestemming is verleend via een landsverordening.
Hierdoor is het zeer onwaarschijnlijk dat individuen of bedrijven volledig eigendom van een strand kunnen verkrijgen. In een artikel van het Antilliaans Dagblad van 5 november 2011, werd het proefschrift van Jeffrey Sybesma besproken. Hij stelt dat alle stranden vrij toegankelijk moeten zijn.
Prof. Jan de Boer benadrukte tijdens de verdediging van het proefschrift het belang van artikel 26, lid 2, van het Burgerlijk Wetboek van Curaçao, dat bijzondere toestemming vereist via een landsverordening om de openbaarheid van stranden te beperken.
Prof. De Boer stelde kritische vragen over de handhaving van deze regelgeving en vroeg zich af of kuststroken, zoals die van het Palapa Curaçao Beach Resort, zonder de vereiste wettelijke toestemming zijn uitgegeven.
Hij wees erop dat indien de overheid kuststroken zonder de noodzakelijke toestemming heeft uitgegeven, deze handelingen nietig zijn volgens artikel 40, lid 2 van Boek 3 van het Burgerlijk Wetboek van Curaçao.
Het is essentieel om het verschil tussen eigendom en toegang te begrijpen. Eigendom betekent dat een persoon of entiteit wettelijk eigenaar is van een stuk grond. Toegang verwijst naar het recht van het publiek om het strand te gebruiken.
Essentie van Overwegingen bij Toegangsweigering :
In het verleden werden sommige stranden bij hotels of particuliere eigendommen ontoegankelijk gemaakt voor het publiek. Dit gebeurde vaak omdat eigenaren of exploitanten geloofden dat ze het recht hadden om hun eigendom af te schermen voor commerciële doeleinden of privacy.
Echter, de wet is hierin duidelijk: toegang tot stranden moet openbaar blijven!
De uitspraak ECLI:NL:OGEAC:2021:180 van het Gerecht in eerste aanleg van Curaçao maakt dit nog duidelijker. Hierin werd de openbaarheid van het strand bij het Marriott-hotel besproken.
Het was mogelijk om de openbaarheid van het strand te beperken door middel van een beheersovereenkomst tussen het Land en de exploitant van het hotel.
Deze overeenkomst bepaalde dat het strand gedurende de nachtelijke uren afgesloten kon worden, zonder in strijd te zijn met de wettelijke vereisten. Dit geeft aan dat hoewel eigendom bij een entiteit kan liggen, de toegang onderhevig is aan publieke rechten en wettelijke regels.
Opspuiten van Stranden :
Bij het opspuiten van stranden zijn er extra overwegingen en procedures die gevolgd moeten worden:
- Vergunning voor Opspuiten: Een vergunning moet worden aangevraagd bij de relevante autoriteiten, zoals het Ministerie van Verkeer, Vervoer en Ruimtelijke Planning (VVRP). Dit omvat een milieueffectrapportage (MER) om de impact van het project te evalueren.
- Goedkeuring en Publieke Consultatie: De overheid beoordeelt de aanvraag en kan publieke consultaties houden om de mening van de gemeenschap te horen voordat een definitieve beslissing wordt genomen.
- Concessieaanvraag: Na goedkeuring en opspuiten kan een concessie worden aangevraagd voor het beheer en de exploitatie van het nieuwe strand.
Kustwateren :
Het water voor een strand op Curaçao valt eveneens onder de wetgeving van openbaar domein, wat privé-eigendom onmogelijk maakt. Activiteiten in kustwateren zijn gereguleerd via concessies en vergunningen:
- Concessies: Bedrijven en particulieren kunnen concessies aanvragen voor specifieke activiteiten zoals het aanleggen van steigers of het exploiteren van duikscholen. Deze concessies geven het recht om bepaalde activiteiten uit te voeren, maar veranderen het eigendom van het water niet.

Cristal Meth, Coke and Booze fueling Shale Industry in Texas
The fastest-growing oil region in the USA is fueling not only the second American shale revolution, but it is also fueling a subculture of drug and alcohol abuse among oil field workers.
The Permian shale play in West Texas is once again booming with drilling and is full of oil field workers, some of which are abusing drugs and alcohol to help them get through long shifts, harsh working conditions, and loneliness and isolation.
There is a strong correlation between the rise of drilling activity and the number of crystal meth seizures by authorities in the Permian area.
Some oil field workers and contractors use drug cocktails or various substances depending on the condition they seek to achieve during their 24-hour-plus shifts.
Drugs are easily accessible in the Permian, which is close to highways and to Mexico. For oil field workers making six-figure salaries, money is not a problem to buy all kinds of illegal substances to shoot, snort and swallow to get through 24-hour-plus shifts.
The physically exhaustive work also sometimes causes aches for workers, making them susceptible to getting hooked on prescription opium-based painkillers all together.
The drug and alcohol abuse subculture in the Permian is a known—yet rarely reported or discussed—issue in the most prolific US shale play, where oil production is booming, and relentless drilling attracts oil field workers from all over Texas and all parts of the USA.
Oil workers are not speaking up at work about their addiction for fear of getting fired, implicating they do not have anything negative to say about the oil industry, which is the backbone of the economic growth in the Permian Midland.
At the beginning of a long or overnight shift, they would use ‘uppers’ like cocaine and methamphetamines, and finish the shift with ‘downers’ such as prescription medication or alcohol.
There is a strong correlation between the rise of drilling activity and the number of crystal meth seizures by authorities in the Permian area.
Thanks to the oil boom, the unemployment rate in Midland is at a record-low 2.1%, and the unemployment rate in Odessa is also a historically low of 2.8%.
According to local statistics, Midland and Odessa are the top two Texas cities for drunken-driving fatalities.
The Permian’s drug of choice is crystal meth, a stimulant increasingly supplied by DEA controlled Mexican drug cartels, according to law enforcement officials who spoke to the Houston Chronicle in May.

Playa Jeremi Restaurant, Beach Front Entree Gebouw & Loop Pier
De plannen om drie authentieke stranden op Curaçao – Playa Jeremi, Playa Lagun en Caracasbaai – te moderniseren, leiden tot een golf van protesten.
Lokale bewoners en natuurbeschermers vrezen dat de bouwprojecten de natuur en cultuur van de eilanden onherstelbaar zullen schaden.
Hoewel de overheid stelt dat de aanpassingen nodig zijn om de stranden aantrekkelijker te maken voor toeristen, zijn veel Curaçaoënaars het hier niet mee eens.
Daniella de Windt, een bezorgde bewoner en fervent voorstander van behoud van de natuurlijke stranden, benadrukt dat de protesten geen politieke insteek hebben. We willen duidelijk maken dat we onafhankelijk zijn van enige politieke agenda. We zijn hier voor de authentieke stranden van Curaçao.
Ana-Maria Pauletta, parlementslid van de PAR, benadrukt dat er bezorgdheid is aan beide kanten. Veel mensen in de gemeenschap willen welvaart en economische vooruitgang, maar er zijn ook veel zorgen over de impact op het milieu.
Ze benadrukt dat een petitie tegen de plannen inmiddels al door 15.000 mensen is ondertekend. Als 10% van de bevolking aangeeft dat er iets niet klopt, moet de overheid luisteren.
Caribisch Netwerk heeft premier Gilmar Pisas, die verantwoordelijk is voor de stranden, om een reactie gevraagd hierover. Maar tot op heden hebben nog geen antwoord ontvangen.
Wel heeft hij afgelopen week in het parlement gezegd dat hij niet begrijpt dat momenteel de indruk wordt gewekt dat de regering iets verkeerds doet? Bouwen zonder bijbehorende vergunningen moet kunnen. Vergunningen kunnen altijd later afgegeven worden zoals het geval bij Boase, van v/d Valk.
In de afgelopen jaren is er door vorige regeringen niets aan de stranden gedaan. Behave op Grote Knip, maar daar werd de rolstoelbrug voor toeristen alsnog verwijderd !
Nu vallen de stranden onder de verantwoordelijkheid van het ministerie van Gezondheid, Natuur en Milieu. We knappen de stranden op (?) en daarmee maken we ons eiland mooier en aantrekkelijker voor toeristen en bewoners.
Pisas wil iedereen vragen: laat de regering gewoon haar werk doen, alsof het volk als belastingbetaler en uitkeerder van de ambtenaren salarissen, hierom had gevraagd?
Maar ook van de extreem hoge voorzieningen die statenleden en ministers krijgen (inclusief levenslang pensioen uitkering na 4 jaar werken om vergunningen en subsidies (fl.150 miljoen aan Zakito mangrove vernietigers) aan bedrijven te gunnen.
Na het uitvoeren van hun taken aan (belastingvrije) bedrijven, krijgen zij werk bij deze uitvoerders aangeboden. En nu de verkiezingen er weer aankomen, raggelen de ministers nog even alles rond om de bedrijven een laatste gunst te bewijzen.

California brings back Mask Mandates in several Counties
Mask mandates are back yet again in some parts of California. Yes the same mask mandates that have already failed repeatedly since 2020 are being reinstated in the Bay Area ahead of winter.
Outkick reports: Local news in San Francisco reported on Thursday that a number of counties in the Bay Area are reinstating mask mandates in several settings through *at least* March 2025.
That’s at least five months of masking in Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo and Napa counties, starting November 1, 2024.
Those counties cover a population of over 5.5 million people; roughly the same population as Minnesota and just a few hundred thousand behind Colorado.
Those people who go to hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and any other healthcare-related facility will be forced to mask through the start of spring 2025.

Curacao Public Beach invasion by Tourism Industry @ Lagun Village
The government seated in Fort Amsterdam in Curacao is waving public properties away by developing structures in the middle of the Lagun Beach without a valid building permit?
For this reason Stichting Amigu di Natura (KvK # 115369) in Curacao has filed a LOB verzoek complaint with the Pisas government in order to receive more information about the destiny of the public beach.
At first it is understood that the CTB was to be the entity to regulate the construction of an cemented building, in order to be used as another tourism hot spot, without consent of people living in Lagun village and/or the rest of the local community?
The pictures above show how the Lagun beach has been heisted and confiscated piece by piece to promote the tourism business, instead of protecting the native rights of local fisherman living in the surrounding village at Curacao.
Mass tourism is having a devastating effect on the local community leading to poverty en deportation of the locals to go live as migrant refugees in the Netherlands, in order to facilitate foreign hotels and other entities at the cost of wildlife (turtle nesting spots and canister fishing).
Most and half of the tourists in Curacao consist of Dutch invaders, while the other 50% of the customers of the human trafficking rings come from Canada, Brazil en the ever invading society of the USA.

Dopamine keeps Humans on track for Life
Dopamine is known as the feel-good neurotransmitter—a chemical that ferries information between neurons. The brain releases it when we eat food that we crave or while we have sex, contributing to feelings of pleasure and satisfaction as part of the reward system.
This important neurochemical boosts mood, motivation, and attention, and helps regulate movement, learning, and emotional responses.
In lab experiments, dopamine prompts a rat to press a lever for food again and again. This is no different in humans; it’s the reason why we partake in more than one helping of cake.
This press-the-lever action applies to addiction as well. People with low levels of dopamine may be more prone to addiction; a person seeking pleasure via drugs or alcohol or food needs higher and higher levels of dopamine.
Swedish pharmacologist and neuroscientist Arvid Carlsson won the Nobel prize in 2000 for his research on dopamine, showing its importance in brain function.
He helped show that the neurotransmitter is heavily involved in the motor system. When the brain fails to produce enough dopamine, it can result in Parkinson’s disease.
The primary treatment for Parkinson’s disease is a drug called L-dopa, which spurs the production of dopamine.
Dopamine has also been implicated in schizophrenia and ADHD; the brain systems underlying these conditions (as well as substance abuse disorder) are complex.
The activity of the dopamine system depends on the state of one’s dopamine receptors, and in people with these conditions, the chemical interacts with other factors in ways that have yet to be explained,
Scientists who study neurological and psychiatric disorders have long been interested in how dopamine works and how relatively high or low levels of dopamine in the brain relate to behavioral challenges and disability.
There are ways to up one’s dopamine levels naturally, and basic self-care is the place to start. A night of fitful sleep, for one, can reduce dopamine drastically.

- Eat foods rich in tyrosine including cheese, meats, fish, dairy, soy, seeds, nuts, beans, lentils, among others. While tyrosine supplements are available, consuming foods is preferred.

Dutch Family Hiding in Basement for 9 Years found by Police
A Dutch family of six who spent nine years living in a basement have been discovered by police in the Netherlands after one of them suddenly turned up at a local pub.
Five siblings aged between 18 and 25 along with their sick father have been rescued from a hidden basement in a Dutch farmhouse after the eldest son wandered into a local pub to seek help.
According to the local news station RTV Drenthe, the family have been living in a basement for years, waiting for the end of time.
The children and a bedridden man, initially believed to be their father, had lived concealed in the basement of the farmhouse for nine years, waiting for the “end of time,” according to Dutch media.
One Josef B., 58, a handyman who was previously the only known tenant of the house, was arrested at the scene for refusing to cooperate with the investigation.
The siblings lived in the basement of the house, which was only accessible through a hidden staircase behind a cupboard in the living room, and were reportedly unaware there were other people in the world.
The house itself was isolated by a canal, accessible by a single bridge, and secured by a locked gate. Neighbors who tried to investigate found that the property was dotted with surveillance cameras.
According to the eldest sibling, the children had never been to school, and they were not registered by any local authorities. The family was believed to be self-sufficient, with a vegetable plot and livestock to sustain them.

Their mother is thought to have died before the family moved to the farmhouse – “a long time ago,” according to the mayor – though some reports suggest she is buried on the property.
The only one seen off the property was Josef B., whom neighbors witnessed driving in and out of the farm daily. He would also watch with binoculars to ward off intruders, neighbors reported.
Police are still investigating how the family lived for so long in isolation and the exact nature of the relationship between Josef B. and the family. The siblings have been removed from the home.

Benefits of Jewish Exile under Babylonian and Persian Rule
The Babylonian exile, although very traumatic, nevertheless had a great benefit to the Jewish people. There were no more corrupt kings or nobility – in Babylon the Torah scholars had complete authority.
Moreover, the Babylonians were not anti-Semites per se; while they only wanted to destroy Judah as an independent political power, they harbored no ill feelings toward the Jewish religion.
As such, Jews were given their own cities, where earlier exiled Jews welcomed them warmly. The Talmud tells us that God chose Babylon as the place of exile for several reasons: Aramaic, the language of Babylon, was very similar to Hebrew.
Abraham was born in Babylon, so the Jews were not regarded as foreigners. And it was easy to make a living from the abundant date trees. All told, then, life was pleasant for the Jews once they reached Babylon.
Despite the relative ease of their exile, the Jews reacted in vastly different ways. Some of them, traumatized by the shock of heathens conquering Jerusalem, an occurrence they had previously deemed impossible, despaired of a future redemption, saying that God had severed His relationship with the Jewish people.
Others settled down comfortably and planned to assimilate. Accordingly, the prophet Ezekiel addressed both of these concerns.
To the first group, he shared his prophetic visions of the Heavenly Chariot and the Third Eternal Temple, telling them that God did not forsake them.
He also revived the dry bones in the Valley of Dura, symbolizing the rejuvenation of the Jewish people. To the second group, he burst out with fiery denunciations, saying that God will never allow the Jewish people to assimilate. Nevertheless, many Jews did assimilate.
Some Jews even rose to prominence at Nebuchadnezzar’s court. Daniel was appointed governor over the realm, while Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah also attained high positions in the government.
After a reign of 45 years, Nebuchadnezzar died and was succeeded by his son Evil Merodach. This king treated the Jews favorably and released the former Judaic king Jehoiachin from prison.
Subsequently, Jeconiah bore children in Babylon, thereby preserving the Davidic line and uplifting the spirits of the exiled Jewish people, who realized that this venerable house had not been destroyed by the exile.
Hundreds of years later, there were still individuals who could trace their ancestry to this royal family.
At the time, there were three possibilities as to when the 70 years began, but only one interpretation was correct. Two monarchs calculated the starting point erroneously and brought disaster upon themselves.
Evil Merodach ruled 23 years, then his son Belshazzar assumed the throne in the year 3386. In 3389, the third year of his reign, he realized that 70 years had elapsed since Nebuchadnezzar’s domination of the Jewish people in 3319.
In 3389, Darius the Mede became monarch of the Persian-Median Empire, the new world power. He was very favorably inclined toward the Jewish people and appointed Daniel chief minister of the realm.
Jealous of Daniel’s high position, Darius’ other officials plotted to rid themselves of the king’s favorite minister.
As such, they convinced Darius to enact a law saying that any person who prays to anyone other than the king will be thrown into a den of lions.
When Daniel emerged unscathed from the den, a greatly relieved Darius threw the plotting ministers and their families into the den instead, such being the system of justice in those times.
Even before the ministers and their families hit the ground, the lions tore them to pieces. After ruling but one year, Darius died in 3390.
Darius’ successor is known in world history as Cyrus the Great, and Jewish history likewise considers him to be an extraordinary person, albeit for different reasons.
Cyrus permitted the Jews to go to Jerusalem and rebuild the Bais Hamikdash; indeed, his famous proclamation to that effect is the very last verse of the Bible.
Thus said Cyrus, king of Persia: ‘Hashem, G‑d of Heaven, has given to me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has commanded me to build Him a Temple in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
This remarkable personality missed an opportunity to play a unique role in Jewish and world history. Had Cyrus personally involved himself in bringing the Jews back to Eretz Israeland building the Bais Hamikdash, he would have ushered in the Messianic Era.
Bible critics, uncomfortable with such an accurate prophecy, try to say that there were three prophets named Isaiah, and that the third one lived during the time of Cyrus.
However, the language and style of the book of Isaiah strongly indicate that there was only one author. Cyrus ruled for three years, 3390-3393.
The king of the Purim story was a rabid anti-Semite. Upon the instigation of the Samaritans, bitter enemies of the Jews residing in the land of Israel, he halted the construction of the Temple.
Ahasuerus, too, miscalculated the end of the 70 years, figuring them from 3327, the date that Nebuchadnezzar exiled the 1,000 Jewish sages.
In the year 3395, the third year of his reign, believing that the 70 years had passed without Jewish redemption, Ahasuerus made his famous feast. (Although only 68 years elapsed from 3327, Ahasuerus reckoned partial years of previous kings as full years.

Vikings reached New World long before Columbus
The Italian explorer has been dubbed the discoverer of the New World. His transatlantic voyages carried out at the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th centuries opened the way for European exploration and colonization of the Americas.
Vikings reached the New World long before Christopher Columbus, claims an international group of scientists from Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.
According to the findings of their study, published in the journal Nature, they reached North America around 1021, 471 years ago before Christopher Columbus embarked on his first journey.
Researchers examined a Norse settlement site discovered in the Canadian province of Newfoundland in the second half of the 20th century, in particular various wooden artifacts.
Using a new type of dating technique, they were able to find out when the Vikings built their settlement. The dating method takes into account solar storms, which produce a distinctive radiocarbon signal in a tree’s annual growth rings.
Researchers used a solar storm that occurred in 992 as a reference point. All pieces of wood from three different trees showed the same number of rings, that formed after the one impacted by the 992 solar storm.
Scientists say their discovery corroborates events described in the Icelandic Sagas. They tell of a Viking presence in the Americas at the end of 10th and the beginning of 11th centuries.
A leader named Leif Erikson encountered the indigenous people of North America, the Sagas say, adding that the interactions were sometimes peaceful, and sometimes violent.
It is not known how long the Vikings stayed in North America, with the researchers suggesting it may have been a decade or less. It is generally believed they left from Greenland, where wood suitable for construction is extremely rare.
Why did the Vikings embark on a voyage to the New World in the first place? Scientists assume that having impeccable boat-building skills, the Vikings sought to discover resources.
It is fair to describe the trip as both a voyage of discovery and a search for new sources of raw materials. Many archaeologists believe the principal motivation for them seeking out these new territories was to uncover new sources of timber, in particular.
The heavily damaged ship was found near the confluence of the Wolf and Mississippi rivers, and lies on a private property.
Also a group of volunteers cleaning up the shores of the Mississippi river near the biggest city in Tennessee, have stumbled upon the remains of an ancient boat encrusted in mud.
A team of archeologists from the University of Memphis that was rapidly called to the site, confirmed that the ship is most certainly a Viking knarr, suggesting the Norse would have pushed their exploration of America a lot further than historians previously thought.
It has a length of about 16 meters, a beam of 4.5 meters, and a hull that is estimated capable of carrying up to 24 to 28 tons, a typical size for this type of ship.
Knarrs were naval vessels that were built by the Norsemen from Scandinavia and Iceland for Atlantic voyages, but also used for trade, commerce, exploration, and warfare during an era known as the Viking Age, that goes approximately from 793 to 1066 AD.
They were clinker built, which means the overlapping of planks riveted together. It was capable of sailing 75 miles (121 km) in one day and held a crew of about 20 to 30 men.

Curacao stapt over op Caribische Gulden om Sporen Landroof te wissen
De Centrale Bank van Curacao heeft besloten om de huidige gulden te vervangen met de Caribische Gulden. Omdat de reden hiervoor publiekelijk onduidelijk blijft werd er door CAdN een LOB verzoek ingediend en daarover vragen te stellen.
De Centrale Bank is een prive instelling die eigendom is van de Rothschild familie verblijvend in London City, waar alle centrale banksters op enkele landen na (Cuba, Rusland, Noord Korea, Iran) in de wereld hun zetel voeren.
Op Curacao kregen vele instanties uit de toeristen industrie vrijstelling van belasting. Ensley Tromp voerde op Curacao het beleid, maar toen deze contracten plotseling uit de archeiven waren verdwenen, werd hij daarvoor verantwoordelijk gesteld,
Het is duidelijk dat deze contracten nooit meer openbaar kunnen worden gesteld tenzij, de hotels, die hun winsten weg mochten sluizen, deze aanbieden. Maar deze zullen nooit in de eigen voet schieten om deze vorm van geldroof openbaar te stellen.
Aangevuld met tax holidays mochten deze mensenhandelaren 2/3 van de omzet uit de fl.1 miljard p/j toeristen industrie wegsluizen en daarmee zomaar witwassen. Alle reizen worden in het buitenland geboekt en betaald, dus hebben deze parasieten de mogelijkheid om de boekhoudingen inzake te beinvloeden.

De meeste toeristen op Curacao, komen respectievelijk uit Nederland, de VS, Canada en Brazilie.
De grootste banken op Curacao komen uit Canada (MCB/RBC), zodat deze de lokale geldstomen via Brazilie en Libanon kunnen beinvloeden. Deze vorm van georganiseerde misdaad wordt niet bekend gemaakt door de mainstream media.
Het massa toerisme op Curacao pleegt oneindige vormen van land roof en andere middelen van toeeigening, beter bekend als privatisering. De VN/UN heeft besloten dat alle landen en eilanden in 2030 gedekoloniseerd moeten worden.
Daarom pikken de NL’se NGO’s uit voorzorg alle landseigendommen alvast af, zodat de dekolonisatie geen politiek effect zal hebben op de plunderende en rovende toeristen fabrieken.
Het volk op Curacao zal er goed aandoen om de komende jaren, in ieder geval zo spoeding mogelijk een onafhankelijkheids verzoek in te dienen bij de VN/UN, zodat er nog het een en ander gespaard blijft worden.
NL is wettelijk verplicht om aan dit proces mee te werken als de politieke partijen dat willen vereisen. NL is dan ook verplicht om voor tien jaar de kosten te dragen in dit proces om deze in goede banen te begeleiden, zodat het eiland op een verantwoordelijke wijze achtergelaten kan worden.

Geachte heer Barendregt,
De Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (hierna: de CBCS) heeft uw (derde) LOB-verzoek,
ingediend op 12 februari 2025 bij het Vergunningenloket en via doorzending aan het Ministerie
van Financiën op 26 februari 2025, in goede orde ontvangen.
Conform art. 3, eerste en tweede lid van de Landsverordening openbaarheid van het bestuur
Curacao (A.B. 2010.87) (hierna: Lob), kan een ieder verzoeken om informatie neergelegd in
documenten over een bestuurlijke aangelegenheid richten tot een bestuursorgaan of tot de onder
verantwoordelijkheid van een bestuursorgaan werkzame directies, departementen, diensten,
bureaus, secretariaten en instellingen.
Uw verzoek betreft de volgende door u gestelde vragen over de introductie van de Caribische
gulden:
- Wat is het voordeel van de aanpassing van deze munteenheid?
- Wordt de huidige ANG met spoed vervangen om privatisering te ondersteunen?
- Wie is/was de opdrachtgever voor dit besluit (*Cft/Den Haag/Centrale Bank)?
- Waarom wordt CG gekoppeld aan USD i.p.v. EURO?
- Wat zijn de gevolgen m.b.t. de intrinsieke waarde van de ANG/CG?
- Waarom wordt deze eenheid gelanceerd tijdens de verkiezingsperiode?
Voorop dient te worden gesteld dat een aantal van deze vragen reeds door u zijn gesteld en door
de CBCS zijn beantwoord. In de eerste reactiebrief van 9 oktober 2024 zijn vraag 4 en 5 reeds
behandeld. Bij de beantwoording van het tweede LOB-verzoek in de brief van 7 november 2024,
zijn deze twee vragen opnieuw, zij het impliciet, beantwoord met een verwijzing naar het eerdere
antwoord in de brief van 9 oktober 2024.
Dit is dus de derde keer dat deze eensluidende vragen worden gesteld. Volledigheidshalve worden
deze twee brieven van de CBCS als bijlagen 1 en 2 overgelegd.
De vragen 1, 2, 3 en 6 betreffen vier nieuwe vragen. Twee van deze vragen (vraag 2 en 6) zijn
suggestief van aard. Dergelijke vragen vallen niet onder de reikwijdte van de LOB (zoals neergelegd
in artikel 3 Lob) en impliceren evenmin een verzoek om inzage in rapporten of besluiten.
Ten aanzien van vragen 1 en 3 geldt dat de antwoorden hierop reeds openbaar en vrij toegankelijk
zijn. Zo is het voordeel van de aanpassing van de munteenheid uitvoerig uiteengezet in de
Memorie van Toelichting op de Regeling Gemeenschappelijk Geldstelsel Curaçao en Sint Maarten
(hierna: de Memorie van Toelichting). In de antwoordbrief van de CBCS d.d. 7 november 2024 is
reeds verwezen naar de voornoemde Regeling en de Memorie van Toelichting (zie bijlage 2).
Het antwoord op de vraag wie de ‘opdrachtgever’ is (vraag 3), is eveneens juridisch te herleiden uit
de relevante wetgeving en de Memorie van Toelichting, die reeds zijn gepubliceerd.
Gelet op het voorgaande is de CBCS, in haar hoedanigheid van (zelfstandig) bestuursorgaan, niet
gehouden uw vragen te beantwoorden. De (nieuwe) gestelde vragen vallen niet onder de
reikwijdte van de Lob (conform artikel 3 van de Lob) en/of de antwoorden zijn reeds toegankelijk
(waardoor geen inzage is vereist). Niettemin heeft de CBCS, met het oog op transparantie richting
de Curaçaose gemeenschap ten aanzien van de introductie van de Caribische gulden, besloten
om – zij het vrijwillig – over te gaan tot (gedeeltelijke herhaling van de) beantwoording van uw
vragen. Uw verzoek wordt derhalve, ondanks het voorgaande, ingewilligd.
De antwoorden vanuit CBCS op uw vragen luiden als volgt:
- Vraag: Wat is het voordeel van de aanpassing van deze munteenheid?
Volgens de Regeling Gemeenschappelijk Geldstelsel Curaçao en Sint Maarten (hierna ook:
de Regeling) en de bijbehorende Memorie van Toelichting zijn de belangrijkste voordelen
van de invoering van de Caribische gulden onder meer:
(1) Het creëren van een eigen monetaire identiteit voor Curaçao en Sint Maarten; De
invoering van de Caribische gulden hangt samen met de nieuwe staatkundige status van
beide landen, en;
(2) De modernisering van het geldsysteem; Bijvoorbeeld de aanpassing van de
denominaties om beter aan te sluiten bij internationale standaarden, zoals de afschaffing
van het twee-en-een-half guldenstuk, de introductie van een 20 guldenbiljet ter
vervanging van het 25 guldenbiljet, en een 200 guldenbiljet in plaats van het 250
guldenbiljet.
Voor een meer gedetailleerde toelichting ten aanzien van het bovenstaande, verwijzen wij
naar de inhoud van de Memorie van Toelichting. Volledigheidshalve wordt de Regeling en
de Memorie van Toelichting als bijlage 3 overgelegd. - Vraag: Wordt de huidige ANG met spoed vervangen om privatisering te
ondersteunen?
De vervanging van de Antilliaanse gulden door de Caribische gulden vindt niet overhaast
of met spoed plaats en is evenmin bedoeld ter ondersteuning van privatisering (wat
hiermee ook wordt bedoeld). Het proces is zorgvuldig en geleidelijk verlopen en heeft als
doel de voorraad bankbiljetten en circulatiemunten van de CBCS aan te vullen, zodat de
CBCS kan blijven voldoen aan haar wettelijke taak van verzorging van de geldsomloop.
Gezien de beslissing van de Landen om de Caribische gulden te introduceren, in
combinatie met de beperkingen op de verdere productie van de Antilliaanse gulden –
waaronder het feit dat de oorspronkelijke producent is gestopt met de productie van
bankbiljetten en dat alternatieve productie door andere bedrijven niet mogelijk was
vanwege verouderde echtheidskenmerken en specificaties – is ervoor gekozen de
Caribische gulden in te voeren.
Deze introductie heeft derhalve twee primaire doelstellingen:
(1) De CBCS in staat stellen om haar taak van verzorging van de geldsomloop te blijven
vervullen en (2) de efficiëntie en de inclusiviteit van het betalingsverkeer binnen de Landen
te waarborgen. - Vraag: Wie is/was de opdrachtgever voor dit besluit (*Cft/Den Haag/Centrale Bank)?
De opdrachtgever voor de aanpassing van de munteenheid naar de Caribische gulden zijn
de regeringen van Curaçao en Sint Maarten. Dit blijkt uit de Regeling Gemeenschappelijk
Geldstelsel Curaçao en Sint Maarten en de daarbij behorende Memorie van Toelichting.
De Regeling is gebaseerd op artikel 88 van de Staatsregelingen van Curaçao en Sint
Maarten. De regeringen van beide landen hebben op basis hiervan afgesproken om een
gemeenschappelijk geldstelsel in te voeren.
De invoering van de Caribische gulden is bovendien vastgelegd in het Slotakkoord van 2
november 2006. In dit akkoord en in de aanvullende principeafspraken van 2008 spraken
de regeringen van Curaçao en Sint Maarten af dat er één gezamenlijke centrale bank en
een gezamenlijke munt zou komen. Dit maakte deel uit van de herstructurering na de
ontmanteling van de Nederlandse Antillen in 2010 (waardoor het ook logisch is dat de
Nederlands-Antilliaanse gulden wordt vervangen)
Voor de goede orde: de CBCS is niet de opdrachtgever, maar de uitvoerder. De CBCS is
belast met de uitgifte van de Caribische gulden en het monetaire beleid, maar de beslissing
om de munt in te voeren is dus – zoals reeds genoemd – genomen door de regeringen
van Curaçao en Sint Maarten.
Voor de volledigheid verwijzen wij wederom naar de relevante wetgeving en de Memorie
van Toelichting, waarin het bovenstaande uitvoerig is uiteengezet (zie bijlage 3).
- Vraag: Waarom wordt CG gekoppeld aan USD i.p.v. EURO?
Deze vraag, namelijk waarom de Caribische gulden (Cg) is gekoppeld aan de Amerikaanse
dollar (USD), is reeds tweemaal beantwoord (zie bijlagen 1 en 2).
Voor zover uw vraag specifiek betrekking heeft op de reden waarom de munt
niet aan de
euro is gekoppeld: juist vanwege de voordelen van de koppeling aan de dollar is ervoor
gekozen de munt niet (ook) aan de euro te koppelen.
Wat betreft de historische continuïteit: de Nederlands-Antilliaanse gulden (NAf) was sinds
1971 al gekoppeld aan de Amerikaanse dollar tegen een vaste wisselkoers van 1 USD = 1,79
NAf. Door deze koppeling te behouden, blijft het monetaire beleid stabiel en worden
wisselkoersschommelingen voorkomen.
Daarnaast verloopt het merendeel van de handel van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (zoals reeds
eerder toegelicht) met de Verenigde Staten, en niet met de eurozone. Hoewel Curaçao en
Sint Maarten deel uitmaken van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, zijn zij geen lid van de
eurozone. De economische integratie met de EU is beperkt, terwijl de handel met de VS
dominant is.
Ten slotte was een van de principeafspraken dat er één valutagebied zou komen met een
gemeenschappelijke munt, gekoppeld aan de Amerikaanse dollar tegen een vaste
wisselkoers.1
Wij raden u nogmaals aan om de meergenoemde wetgeving en de Memorie van
Toelichting te raadplegen; daarin vindt u het antwoord op de meeste van uw vragen terug. - Vraag: Wat zijn de gevolgen m.b.t. de intrinsieke waarde van de ANF/CG?
De intrinsieke waarde van de munteenheid zelf verandert niet. De Caribische gulden (Cg)
wordt één-op-één omgezet vanuit de Nederlands-Antilliaanse gulden (NAf), waardoor er
geen wijziging in waarde is voor houders van geld.
Zie artikel 16, lid 5 en 6 van de Regeling Gemeenschappelijk Geldstelsel Curaçao en Sint
Maarten:
” Vanaf het moment van uitgifte van de Caribische gulden, genoemd in het eerste lid,
kunnen Nederlands-Antilliaanse guldens gedurende een periode van één jaar bij de
commerciële banken worden ingewisseld tegen Caribische guldens tegen een één-op-
één verhouding.”
“Vanaf het moment van uitgifte van de Caribische gulden, genoemd in het eerste lid,
kunnen Nederlands-Antilliaanse guldens gedurende een periode van dertig jaar bij de Bank
worden ingewisseld tegen Caribische guldens tegen een één-op-één verhouding”
- Vraag: Waarom wordt deze eenheid gelanceerd tijdens de verkiezingsperiode?
Zoals meerdere malen aangegeven, is de beslissing om de Caribische gulden in te voeren
reeds in het Slotakkoord van 2 november 2006 genomen. De daadwerkelijke invoering
heeft geen politieke motivatie.
De officiële invoering van de Caribische gulden vindt plaats ná de verkiezingsperiode en is
het gevolg van langlopende monetaire en bestuurlijke processen die al jarenlang in
voorbereiding zijn. Deze invoering heeft geen enkel verband met de verkiezingen. Dat de
officiële invoering kort na de verkiezingen plaatsvindt, hangt uitsluitend samen met de
afspraken die onder meer met de commerciële banken zijn gemaakt, zodat zij voldoende
tijd hebben om hun systemen aan te passen. Daarnaast is de timing afgestemd op de
verwachte doorlooptijd van de resterende voorraad Nederlands-Antilliaanse guldens.

The Brain is the Battlefield of the Future
The WEF’s stated objective is altering the Human being. Directed energy is being weaponized. Individual brains will be targeted by microwaves.
Dr. Giordano talks about how Directed Energy can be and is being weaponized. Individuals’ brains can be targeted by microwaves, the type of 5G and soon to come 6G, of which you see antennas growing like mushrooms all over the word.
They tell you, it is to make your internet, and ever more sophisticated computers and smart phones faster, with more outreach capacity – and to help advance digitization.
This may all be true to some extent, but the real reason behind these microwave towers is to target YOU, the individual. DARPA stands for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a Pentagon think-tank.
Why? From other sources we know that the Fourth Industrial Revolution is in full implementation. Klaus Schwab, eternal CEO of the World Economic Forum (WEF), published his book, Shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution, already in 2018.
In it he writes about such significant topics as Embedding Values in Technologies; The Internet of Things; Data Ethics; Artificial Intelligence and Robotics; and a special chapter on Altering the Human Being.
In this chapter, Schwab addresses biotechnologies, and neuro-technologies, trans-humanism – precisely the science that Dr. Giordano was talking about in 2018 at the West Point Military Academy, and which is in full implementation.
If we connect the dots, we realize that the “Brain as the Battlefield of the Future” is NOW and that we were warned way ahead. A
According to Dr. Giordano, the science of neurotechnologies has started some 40 years ago and he, Giordano, has been part of it for at least 35 years. Therefore, warnings have been all over the place, at the latest by Klaus Schwab’s Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Death Cult has again given people warnings, according to its rules – way ahead of time, so, They may be successful. Why is it, that we never take note of such warnings?
Because we do not believe in so much built-in evil in humanity? Or, because we do not want to leave our comfort zone, our dystopian view of a safe world? They know it. And we MUST break that boundary between comfort and reality. If not, we are doomed.
If you are targeted there is virtually nothing you can do, says William Binney, ex-NSA Technical Director and whistleblower. The NSA is the US National Security Agency, one of 15 US Intelligence Agencies.
We by now know them as 5G. You make them depressed, so they do not want to demonstrate anymore; you make them suicidal and the problem is resolved. You do this as many times as you want and create an ambiance of depression.
These are paraphrased words of Barry Trower, ex-Mi5 Microwave whistleblower and scientist.
Mr. Trower adds, that low-level micro-waves can cause all sorts of cancers and leukemia’s and further elaborates that for the past 40 years or so the British Government, plus basically all the Anglosaxon governments, have been lying to their people.
This, to protect not only the high-flying profits of these industries of death, but perhaps more importantly for not divulging the evil objective of total surveillance and enslavement that they have planned.
Today, we gradually see what this plan entails.
Through “Electronic Telepathy”, Trower adds, we are able to monitor the brain.
If at one point, technology foresaw that tiny, hardly visible chip-implants were necessary in the brain to be able to electronically access individuals’ thinking – hence the highly magnetic graphene oxide in many of the covid vaxx-injections – this may no longer be necessary.
In other words, we are all vulnerable – vaxxed or unvaxxed – to mind interference through the worldwide coverage of 5G shortwaves. And the worst is, we may not even notice when it “hits” us.
Mind manipulations may take many forms. One of them is that people physically hear voices – it is not that people are imagining voices, but they can physically hear voices… it can be anything, anything you want to hear, or you are scared to hear, angelic voices or diabolical voices; to repeat the words of neuroscientists.
This technology may have been applied to the US Embassy personnel in Havana, first reported by USA and Canadian Embassy staff in Havana, Cuba.
The so-called Havana Syndrome, of 2016. This may be a cluster of idiopathic symptoms experienced mostly abroad by U.S. government officials and military personnel. The symptoms range in severity from pain and ringing in the ears to cognitive dysfunction.
The Havana Syndrome has apparently now also been reported by US Embassy staff in China.
DARPA let a couple of contracts in 2011 / 2012 with the University of California for what is called electronic telepathy, to be able to monitor the brains of people at distance and to determine what they are thinking.
Under a separate contract the university was to investigate sending in signals to the brain of a person, literally sending them messages saying what they must think – and do. This is where the technology is today.
This could be used in your private life, as well as your professional life. It means, already today, they could make you do and behave as whatever they would like. They could make you a murderer, a cheater or just simply obedient to orders that may follow.
To repeat: “What you must know is that the brain is and will be the 21st Century’s battlefield”, says Dr. James Giordano, DARPA neurologist, during his talk at the Modern War Institute at West Point NY.
It is important to remember, especially since we should pay more attention to our surroundings, to people’s behavior, than what we are used to. We may deduct many lessons. So, that we may continue and expanding the field of connecting the dots.

The technology could be used to prompt you to commit mass murder. Are some of the sudden and unexpected school and shopping mall mass shootings are triggered by such mechanisms?
This is a distinct possibility, because in most cases the shooter is not apprehended and brought to justice, but immediately killed on the scene by the police, lest he might recall what happened to him and divulge the secret in court, the NSID use of the brain as a battlefield.
In most cases the police simply say the “culprit” was know to the police, and / or had already a police record. This is to disguise you from thinking further.
Why are they doing it? They, being the “monsters”, which cannot easily be called humans.
To create terror, constant fear, to keep you on your toes. To get you used to terror and violence, as worse, much worse is to come, if they have their way.
And we just comply, become depressed and passive, instead of rebelling in unison and Peace, but strongly rejecting the dominion of a few over us, the many.
Curiously, the Fourth Industrial Revolution does not give one single valid reason why all digitization, transhumanism, total control of humanity is good for humanity and for Mother Earth; nor does the Great Reset, nor does UN Agenda 2030.
We must stop this abuse of humanity, the human enslavement for the benefit of a few. For example, we can do so, among other actions, by collectively and in solidarity disabling the 5G / 6G antennas.
Also by staying away as much as possible from vaxxes, from medication altering your brain activities, like causing depression, and extreme cheerfulness. Stay away from mainstream medication and especially from short-wave antennas.
Remember, scared people are easier manipulated. And that is one of the end goals, to manipulate you according to their will.
The DARPA expert, Giordano, who is also a prominent scientist in the US Health and Human Service Department that speaks for itself also talks about non-invasive technologies, such as the so-called “N3 Program”, the neurosurgical, neuromodulation and narcotics program.
The idea is to put minimal size electrodes in your brain, for only minimal intervention to be able to read and write into the brain function. In real time.

Intelligence communities, even those within governments, with the help of their algorithm-assisted surveillance tools, become so powerful that they escape the boundaries of the state for which they are working, become independent, and control the state that should control them.
We are moving in warp speed towards a Nazi-Stasi State which we see coming, but are incapable of doing anything against it, because we are not connected with each other, we are kept apart as individuals, with our little individual advantages and special treats – keeping us on individual leashes, purposefully away from uniting with others.
Stasi – for those, too young to remember, is a colloquial term to describe the East-German Ministry of State Security.
This affects not only the United States, but countries all around the world, especially the western world, which is still intent to remain THE Empire, emerging into a One World Order (OWO).
This can happen only with (i) a massively reduced population, to reduce resistance; (ii) with a scared-to-death population; and eventually, (iii) with the survivors transformed into easily manipulable trans humans.
Maybe as many as 99.999% of the people, have no clue, and are totally vulnerable but, as such, perfect guinea pigs for trials, to perfect their “brain battlefield”, so to speak.
This is not a life worth living. But suicide is not the answer.
To the contrary, stepping out from under this diabolical system, being openly promoted by the World Economic Forum (WEF) with “The Great Reset”; WHO, with the international QR code-based vaxx and travel certificate enslavement; and the UN Agenda 2030, that may be read at par with The Great Reset.
The UN, what you may least believe, the UN with their Agenda 2030, with targets and goals virtually identical with the WEF’s Reset, has ceased to be what we all believe it is and what it was supposedly created for – supporting and enabling World Peace.
This cessation of “Peace Maker” of the UN system has started gradually, already decades ago. In fact, as far back as the Club of Rome’s “Limits of Growth” (1972), when inspired by the Rockefeller Brothers, the UN was to gradually follow the Limits of Growth agenda which had to do with massive depopulation and – yes, climate change.

A corner stone of change was the first United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), also known as the ‘Earth Summit’, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in June 1992.
From then on followed almost on an annual basis the infamous UN sponsored COP conferences (COP – Conference of the Parties).
The last one, COP27, took place in November 2022 in Egypt. The annual repetition of COPs is a well-studied method of social brainwashing, manipulation à la Tavistock – has worked wonders.
It is today hard to find anybody under the common people, who does not believe in the CO2-emitting man-made climate change. No matter what evidence to the contrary is produced.
The UN sell-out to a corrupt elite has taken a visible and giant step forward with the beginning of the Decade 2020, i.e., with the UN Agenda 2030.
All of this must first sink into the brain of most people, before we can even start resisting and move into another sphere of vibration.
However, like with everything spiritual and dynamic, once a critical mass has started with critical thinking the move into the Light may be fast.
Moving into the Light is what is predicted for 2023 / 2024. In no ways should this prediction be taken as a “lean-back” and watch-what-happens encouragement. To be FREE is only a right, if we defend it and fight for it. Let us not leave cracks for diabolical seduction.
Before we can step out, we must recognize these diabolical “Illuminati” methods and stand up in unison against them.

Many will find it so off their current-thinking matrix, they will just shake their heads in disbelief, or calling such facts and news misinformation. Many of us, have been there. It does not matter. We must continue the offense with the truth.

World Animal Day’s international reach enables us to unite voices worldwide, standing for animal rights and welfare. It paves the way for everyone, businesses and individuals alike, to celebrate this day in various ways.
World Animal Day is a beacon of hope for living creatures across the globe. Stop burning elephant tusks, which results in rising prices and more animal abuse. Dump these confiscated tusks on the markets for prices to drop instead, and halt profits on trade.
It raises awareness about ecosystem protection – striving to sustain the delicate balance necessary for all lifeforms to thrive. It transcends boundaries, uniting minds and hearts across the globe in a shared mission to improve animal lives.
Over the years, World Animal Day has garnered significant victories for animals. In Egypt, the day’s events led to additional clauses in the Egyptian constitution offering rights to animals.
Similarly, in Sudan, parliament introduced new legislation designed to protect animals.
One of the most special things about our communities are the dogs, cats, birds, porcupines and other animal species who live amongst us.
Many of us understand the importance of living in harmony but sadly there are far too many who don’t, which results in immense abuse, fear and suffering for many of our voiceless friends.
Even though they don’t have a voice, it is a human voice they lack. Like any of us they communicate in their own way with each other and also with us, if only we take the time to listen and watch them.
A larger number of them suffer in captivity in cages, on chains and in horrific conditions in pet shops and unregulated breeding centers.
They are also paraded, slaughtered in inhumane ways, held captive and used for entertainment depriving them of their right for freedom, a life with their families and friends.
Until we are able to recognize their rights and consider them as our equals, it will only continue to affect our progress for a better life for all, because what happens to them is what happens to us as a collective and a country.
We must free the enslaved and captive, eliminate the cruelty of the pet trade and protect our wildlife by giving them a safe home to live in.
A lot has changed in the last few years with a greater number of people understanding the importance of living together harmoniously as one, but we still have a long way to go for greater change.
It is what will help us be better, happier and more prosperous in our communities and our country.
We urge governments and other policymakers to halt or prevent damaging actions by calling for better enforcement of wildlife protection laws, promoting severe penalties for wildlife criminals.

US Military largest polluter on planet Earth causing Climate Change
The US military’s carbon footprint is enormous. Like corporate supply chains, it relies upon an extensive global network of container ships, trucks and cargo planes to supply its operations with everything from bombs to humanitarian aid and hydrocarbon fuels.
Our new study calculated the contribution of this vast infrastructure to climate change.
US military pollution is a significant contributor to climate change. If it were a nation state, it would be the 47th largest emitter in the world.
Their negligence, nuclear testing and disregard for human life has come at a huge environmental cost, and reform needs to be taken into consideration to protect our planet.
This came as a surprise, as ample evidence has been published before the report detailing how dangerous the US military’s climate change contributions are.
In 2019, a report released by Durham and Lancaster University found the US military to be one of the largest climate polluters in history, consuming more liquid fuels and emitting more CO2e (carbon-dioxide equivalent) than most countries.
It established that if the US military were a nation state, it would be the 47th largest emitter of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the world. These figures were from taking into account the emissions from fuel usage alone.
Gathering data about the US Armed Forces can be difficult. With their decision to withdraw from the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, the USA is exempt from reporting their military emissions.
However, gathering statistics from their negligent actions can be obtained through local news organizations, NGO’s, lobbyists and Freedom of Information requests.
Greenhouse gas emission accounting usually focuses on how much energy and fuel civilians use. But recent work, including our own, shows that the US military is one of the largest polluters in history, consuming more liquid fuels and emitting more climate-changing gases than most medium-sized countries.
If the US military were a country, its fuel usage alone would make it the 47th largest emitter of greenhouse gases in the world, sitting between Peru and Portugal.
In 2017, the US military bought about 269,230 barrels of oil a day and emitted more than 25,000 kilo-tonnes of carbon dioxide by burning those fuels.
The US Air Force purchased US$4.9 billion worth of fuel, and the US Navy US$2.8 billion, followed by the army at US$947 million and the US Marines at US$36 million.
It’s no coincidence that US military emissions tend to be overlooked in climate change studies. It’s very difficult to get consistent data from the Pentagon and across US government departments.
