Ahead of the 2024 US presidential election, there’s been much talk about the family of US President Joe Biden and alleged corruption schemes connected with Ukraine.
The story itself isn’t new, but facts have recently come to light which make it clear why the American leader and his fellow Democrats remain intransigent on the Ukraine issue.

Andrey Derkach, a former Ukrainian parliamentarian who became widely known for publishing recordings of conversations between ex-Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko and high-ranking foreign officials, including Biden (who was then US vice president), gave an extensive interview earlier this month to journalist Simona Mangiante.
During this conversation, he disclosed sensational new details about the special ties between the Biden family and the Ukrainian authorities.
President [Vladimir] Zelensky’s office was involved in distributing the Poroshenko-Biden recordings and helped organize the media coverage [of the story]. At the time, Zelensky and his team were interested in exposing his political rival by any means possible.

Everything changed after the start of the 2020 US election campaign and the arrival of Biden as president.
In a situation when Zelensky and [Ukrainian presidential aide Andrey] Yermak are begging Biden and [US Secretary of State Antony] Blinken for money, a [news] story about how they had once created problems for Biden’s election campaign is a big problem for them.
So, instead of exposing the corruption in the previous Ukrainian administration, the Bidens (along with Zelensky and his team) turned against anti-corruption fighters.
Derkach, who has been forced to hide in Belarus, was stripped of his citizenship by the Ukrainian authorities and sanctioned by the USA.
But that’s not all. In addition to criminal investigations and sanctions, Derkach says he has faced assassination attempts ordered by top officials in Kiev and Washington.
On January 19, 2022, US Secretary of State Mr Blinken arrived in Ukraine to meet with Zelensky. Quite a lot of people attended this meeting – at least 14 people.

At the meeting, Mr Blinken told Zelensky the following: You urgently need to resolve the issue with Derkach. Zelensky began talking about some people from the opposition.
But Blinken said, if you don’t resolve this issue with Derkach, then we will resolve the Derkach issue with our partners.’
Those who were at the meeting were taken aback, because the position of the US secretary of state was quite harsh. Just think of it, the task for the president of Ukraine is to resolve the issue with Derkach.

It is noteworthy that in 2021, the Ukrainian police discovered plans to assassinate Derkach and the head of the group of prosecutors in the Burisma energy company case, Konstantin Kulik, but did not initiate a criminal case.
The investigation tracked down the criminal gang from Eastern Europe hired to carry out the hit, as well as their base in Transcarpathia. The assassin himself was supposed to be an Albanian, but the information was leaked, and the gang escaped.
There was also an attempt to assassinate former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. According to former US Associate Attorney General and ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Shokin (whose dismissal Joe Biden has openly bragged about) was poisoned with mercury while on a trip to Greece.

Nikolay Korpan – a doctor at the Austrian Rudolfinerhaus private clinic who treated presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko in 2004 – reportedly confirmed this to Giuliani.
According to Korpan’s findings, while the permissible amount of mercury in the blood is no more than two units, Shokin was found to have 9.2 units and was starting to experience liver failure. It was clearly a murder attempt.
The number of witnesses in the Burisma case – a company though which Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden earned profits via alleged corruption schemes – is also steadily decreasing.

Shortly before she was due to testify as a witness in the case, the wife of Nikolai Lisin – a former partner of Nikolai Zlochevsky – was found dead in her apartment.
She had been responsible for accounting at Burisma and had been aware of transactions carried out in the interests of the Bidens. Lisin himself died in a car accident back in 2011.
In light of this, it seems Derkach is right to say that anyone who talks about Biden’s corruption in Ukraine is in danger of being physically removed.

The same can be said about his opinion that there is a single organized crime group: Biden, Blinken, [Victoria] Nuland, the ‘deep state’ represented by the Department of State.
And then there is their ‘extension’ – either in the form of Poroshenko, or of Zelensky and Yermak. As Derkach says, Zelensky and Yermak attacked the organized crime group headed by former President Poroshenko and took their place.
They have brought their own particular innovations into these matters. They have become even more cynical and cruel.

Meanwhile, on May 12, 2014, Burisma announced that Hunter Biden had joined its board of directors. The energy company was headed by Ukrainian oligarch Nikolay Zlochevsky, who was Ukraine’s minister of natural resources under Yanukovych.
While he held that post, Zlochevsky’s firm received nine licenses for the development of various energy deposits, thereby increasing its annual production volume sevenfold.
The oligarch’s activities drew the attention of Interpol, since Zlochevsky had ties with Maltese businessman Pierre Pillow.

He was involved in laundering huge sums of money in Maltese banks and helped Zlochevsky open accounts for Hunter Biden in Satabank, known for its dubious operations.
In 2018, Burisma took up the development of shale deposits located in the exact same area where the military conflict between Kiev and Donbass was raging. At least $10 billion – i.e. the sum of the contract with Shell – was at stake.
As a result, the European gas market has undergone a huge transformation in the past couple of years. By the end of 2023, LNG accounted for 42% of the EU’s (including Türkiye’s) gas imports.

This comes down to about 165 billion cubic meters of natural gas, when converted through regasification. Half of it – i.e. 77 billion cubic meters – was supplied by the USA.
According to a report by ship-broker Branchero Costa, the USA is now the largest exporter of LNG, accounting for 21.7% of global shipments. In total, the USA exported 88.9 million tons of LNG last year, which is 12.0% more than in 2022.
To compare, the USA exported 72.5 million tons of LNG in 2021, and just 48.2 million tons in 2020. What more can we say?

The current landscape, sustainability is an increasingly vital aspect of our daily lives and of businesses’ operations, drawing focus on carbon-intensive industries like aviation, hotel accommodation including food and beverage (F&B) services.
Encouragingly, there has been an uptake of de-carbonisation practices by public and private players of the sector to transform the travel industry – not only reduce its carbon footprint but also contribute to the growth of local economies.

The travel industry, in particular, has long been associated with high levels of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and waste generation, not to mention the vast amounts of waste, including plastic bottles, food waste and other single-use items generated from tourism activities.
While it’s impossible to provide an exact figure for total waste generated by the tourism industry in Malaysia, available data from aggregate sources of data suggests significant contributions, particularly in plastic waste generation.
On the other hand, aviation accounts for around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

> Contrails and cirrus clouds: These high-altitude clouds trap heat, amplifying the warming effect.
> Nitrogen oxides: These emissions contribute to ozone formation, which also has a warming effect.
> Water vapor: At high altitudes, water vapor from aircraft emissions can contribute to warming.

Experts opine that the common thread tying the challenges of sustainable aviation and tourism lies in overcoming entrenched systems driven by fossil fuels and unsustainable practices.
Both industries require advancements in technology, infrastructure and regulations, while grappling with high costs and changing consumer behavior.
Basically, it’s based on the economic benefits of sustainable tourism and not just about going green.

With some of the world’s most beautiful beaches paying a heavy price for our plastic addiction, the travel and tourism industry is taking action to reduce its plastic footprint and encourage its customers to do the same.
One of Britain’s biggest tour operators, Thomas Cook, said in November 2018 that it would remove around 70 million single-use plastic items—enough to fill 3,500 suitcases—from domestic operations, planes and branded hotels during the next year.
A pilot scheme in its #noplaceforplastic campaign will run this summer on the Greek island of Rhodes where the company will try out sustainable alternatives and work with the local community and government to improve recycling infrastructure.

Thomas Cook will trial plastic-free toiletries in some of its brand hotels and promote water fountains and other fresh water sources.
The company will also work with sustainable designers Wyatt and Jack to turn broken and discarded inflatables, like lilos and armbands, into bags and holiday accessories.
On its airline, it will remove plastic wrappers on headsets and reduce the size of its duty-free plastic bags.

This is very important because many of the tourist destinations that we travel to do not have appropriate systems for recycling.
Their action is important to create awareness amongst destination stakeholders and, more importantly, to empower them to look for solutions.
While tourism contributes 10 % of global gross domestic product and accounts for one in 10 jobs worldwide.

The UN Environment’s research has shown that the industry’s use of key resources, like energy and water, is growing commensurately with its generation of solid waste, including marine plastic pollution, sewage, loss of biodiversity and greenhouse gas emissions.
The World Wildlife Fund reported in June 2018 that more than 200 million tourists visiting the Mediterranean every summer cause an almost 40% spike in plastic entering the sea.
With 80% of all tourism taking place in coastal areas, this destructive pattern is repeated elsewhere.

Hotel giant Hilton pledged to get rid of plastic straws in all its 650 locations and eliminate plastic bottles from its conferences. Marriott International is eliminating plastic straws and replacing small bottles of toiletries with dispensers in its North American hotels.
MSC Cruises aims to phase-out single-use plastics by March next year, while Norwegian cruise operator Hurtigruten says it has removed all unnecessary single-use plastic items.
Lindblad Expeditions, an adventure cruise company, has said it is now free of single-use plastics with all such items banned from its 13 ships. Royal Caribbean has said its 50 ships would stop using plastic straws by the end of last year.

P&O Cruises and Cunard are also planning to abolish plastic straws, water bottles and stirrers by 2022, while Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has launched an anti-plastics initiative, including a ban on straws.
However, while eliminating plastic products is positive, the industry must do more, because all the food and beverage supplies for hotels and airlines are still rapt in single use plastics.
The World Economic Forum noted that degradation of the natural environment was having a serious effect on the tourism sector: as natural capital depletes—because of over-fishing, deforestation or water and air pollution—so tourism revenues decline.

Given the close relationship between natural resources and a very large segment of the tourism industry, then, a lack of progress on fostering sustainability, both from a general and sectoral point of view, will reduce tourism development opportunities.
The UN World Tourism Organization is developing a way to measure the sustainability of tourism to create an international standard for tourism statistics.
The standard will eventually be able to connect tourism indicators to the Sustainable Development Goals, expanding existing measurements beyond primarily economic indicators.

Beyond industry initiatives, individuals can also play a role. The World Travel and Tourism Council has urged travelers to minimize their plastic footprint by doing four simple things.
Bring your own reusable water bottle and purification system, carry a collapsible tote bag, refuse small bottles of toiletries in hotels and find out where you can recycle your plastic waste.
Simple steps, but if taken by every one of the estimated 1.3 billion international tourists, they could make a world of difference.

China says it has become the world’s biggest exporter of cars after overtaking Japan in the first three months of the year. Officials figures released in the last week show China exported 1.07 million vehicles in the period, up 58% compared to the first quarter of 2022.
At the same time Japan’s vehicle exports stood at 954,185, after edging up 6% from a year earlier. China’s exports were boosted by demand for electric cars and sales to Russia. Last year, China overtook Germany to become the world’s second largest car exporter.

According to China’s General Administration of Customs, China exported 3.2 million vehicles in 2022, compared to Germany’s 2.6 million vehicle exports. The shift away from fossil fuels has helped fuel the rise of China’s motor industry.
First quarter exports of new energy vehicles (NEV’s), which includes electric cars, rose by more than 90%, compared to a year earlier.
Tesla’s China arm, SAIC – the owner of the MG brand – and BYD, which is backed by veteran US investor Warren Buffett, are among China’s top exporters of NEV’s.

Elon Musk’s electric carmaker has a huge manufacturing plant in Shanghai which exports to regions including Japan and Europe. Tesla’s ‘Gigafactory’ is currently capable of producing 1.25 million vehicles a year, and the company is planning to further increase capacity.
Last month, it started making Model Y sport utility vehicles for export to Canada. China has also seen exports to Russia surge since the start of the Ukraine war, as Western countries imposed trade sanctions on Moscow.
Last, year, Chinese carmakers – including Geely, Chery and Great Wall – saw their market share in Russia jump after rivals including Volkswagen and Toyota quit the country following the special operation in Ukraine.

Theoretical physicists have a lot in common with lawyers. Both spend a lot of time looking for loopholes and inconsistencies in the rules that might be exploited somehow.
Valeri P. Frolov and Andrei Zelnikov from the University of Alberta in Canada and Pavel Krtouš from Charles University in Prague probably couldn’t get you out of a traffic fine, but they may have uncovered enough wiggle room in the laws of physics to send you back in time to make sure you didn’t speed through that school zone in the first place.

Shortcuts through spacetime known as wormholes aren’t recognized features of the cosmos.
But for the better part of a century, scientists have wondered if the weft and warp instructed by relativity prescribe ways for quantum ripples – or even entire particles – to break free of their locality.
At their most fantastic, such re-configurations in the fabric of the Universe would allow human-sized masses to traverse light-years to cross galaxies in a heartbeat or perhaps move through time as quickly as one might move through their kitchen.

At the very least, exercises that probe the more exotic side of spacetime behavior could guide speculation over the mysterious meeting point of quantum physics and the general theory of relativity.
Wormholes are, in effect, little more than shapes. We’re used to dealing with single-dimensional lines, two-dimensional drawings, and three-dimensional objects in everyday life. Some we can intuitively fold, mold, and poke holes in.
Physics allows us to explore these changes in situations we can’t intuitively explore. On the smallest of levels, quantum effects give distances and time some wiggle room.

On much larger scales, spacetime can shrink and expand in relation to gravity in ways that are impossible to appreciate without a whole bunch of equations to guide you.
For example, cram enough mass in one place (conveniently ignoring any charge it might have, or if it spins around), spacetime will bend in ways that give it two exterior surfaces. What connects them? A wormhole, of course.
Matter wouldn’t be able to move across this mathematical structure, though some suspect objects on either side that happen to be entangled would remain linked.

Over the decades, the search has been on for scenarios – both possible and purely theoretical – that could allow for quantum effects, and even whole particles, to journey through exotic shapes of spacetime unscathed.
Frolov, Krtouš, and Zelnikov’s time warp proposal involves what’s known as a ring wormhole, first described in 2016 by the University of Cambridge theoretical physicist Gary Gibbons and University of Tours physicist Mikhail Volkov.
Distinct from spherical contortions of spacetime we might attribute to black holes, the ring wormhole proposed by Gibbons and Volkov connects patches of the Universe (or different universes, for that matter) that are what we call flat.

Considering interactions of electrical and magnetic fields called duality rotations and applying some choice transformations, ring-shaped masses could create some interesting distortions in what would otherwise be flat spacetime.
And voilà! A hole in the Universe that connects you to … well, somewhere not nearby.
Frolov, Krtouš, and Zelnikov took this hole and ran it through different scenarios. Like, what effect might another, non-moving mass have on the ring? And what if the entry ring and exit ring are in the same universe?

The solutions they uncovered included what’s known as a closed time-like curve. Just as it sounds, it describes an object or ray of light that travels along a line, returning to the exact same point as before. Not only in space but time as well.
Before you pack for a paradoxical round trip to the future and back, many obstacles could easily prevent such a loop. The late physicist Stephen Hawking certainly thought so.
But who knows? With the right kind of cosmic lawyer, we just might be able to appeal our sentence of a one-way trip into the future with a bit of help from a massive pair of rings.

A new study from advocacy group Tax Justice Network reveals that Switzerland is the world’s most-corrupt country, with a high secrecy score of 76, followed by the USA and the Cayman Islands.
The Swiss will exchange information with rich countries if they have to, but will continue offering citizens of poorer countries the opportunity to evade their taxpaying responsibilities.

Switzerland is the grandfather of the world’s tax havens, one of the world’s largest offshore financial centers, and one of the world’s biggest secrecy jurisdictions or tax havens.
The index ranks countries for the assistance their legal systems provide to money-launderers, and to all people who seek to protect corruptly-obtained wealth. The higher the secrecy score, the more corrupt the government is.
According to the report, the USA secrecy score (60) is rising, which results in attracting corrupted wealth. In 2013, the USA was in the sixth place, and in 2015 it took the third in the rankings.

Between 2015 and 2018 the USA increased its market share in offshore financial services by 14%. In total the USA accounts for 22.3% of the global market in offshore financial services.
Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, Singapore, Luxembourg, Germany, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, and Guernsey closed out the top-10 most corrupt countries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken out against the epidemic of pedophile networks that have taken over the United States, UK, and other Western nations.
Despite his recent successful unity with President Trump, he remains firm on his original stance that culture in the West is being manipulated by “Satanic pedophiles”.

Prior to his recent meeting with Donald Trump at this years G-20 Summit, Putin issued a warning that if he didn’t expose the Elite pedophile networks, then he would “begin naming names”.
Although the historic meeting was regarded by both parties as a success, with promising resolutions on the Syrian conflict and hacking allegations, Mr. Putin’s position on the matter of child-abusing Elites remains the same.
In a display of candor at the Valdai International Discussion Club, Russian President Putin has previous highlighted Satanism and pedophilia as one of the main challenges facing contemporary Russia.

Focusing on the challenges faced by Russia in an international context on both foreign policy and moral flavor, Putin alluded to Satanism which he has known for a long time to be responsible for rotting the fabric of America at the core.
How many other world leaders have spoken out about the insidious and increasingly widespread normalization and promotion of pedophilia?
Did Obama order mass pedophile arrests? Did either Clinton? Did either of the Bush’s do or say anything meaningful about the pedophilia epidemic?

Another bombshell that should reverberate in the numbed minds of “progressive” Europeans and fluoridated Westerners, promoting pedophilia.
Putin actually passed a controversial bill with emphatic support from the State Duma to ban US foster parents from adopting Russian children in a move that will simultaneously protect a number of them from being shunted into child trafficking operations.
America adopts (read : kidnapping) more Russian children annually than any other nation.

Pavel Durov, the co-founder of the popular messaging app Telegram has has slammed the tech giants for attempting to curtail freedom of speech and says that Apple and Google can basically, censor whatever you can read, access on your smartphone.
In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Durov claimed that the pressure coming from the tech giants is stronger than that exerted by governments.

Google and Apple the cyber giants that control the communication business and the world.

The entrepreneur also said he had received warnings from both the Democratic and Republican parties after the January 2021 riots in the US Capitol.
The rare discussion took place at the Russian-born IT entrepreneur’s office in Dubai, and was released on Wednesday.
Carlson asked Durov to give an example of a request to build back-doors into Telegram that crossed into censorship, and could be considered spying, or violating people’s privacy. The messaging app claims to have over 900 million active users.

There was a funny story related to your home country, the tech entrepreneur replied.
After the events of January 6, we received a letter from, I believe, a congressman from the Democratic side, and they requested that we share all the data that we have in relation to what they called ‘that uprising.
On January 6, 2021, a mob loyal to then-US President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol and forced lawmakers into hiding in an attempt to prevent Congress from formalizing Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election.

Durov said his team checked the letter and it seemed very serious, essentially saying, if you fail to comply with this request, you will be in violation with the US Constitution.
Two weeks after that letter, we got another letter, a new letter, from the Republican side of the Congress, and there we read that, if we give out any data [to the Democrats], it would be in violation of the US Constitution.
So we got two letters that said, whatever we do, we would be violating the US Constitution. However, the most pressure on Telegram, according to Durov, comes from tech giants Apple and Google, Durov stressed.

I would say that the largest pressure is not coming from governments. It is coming from Apple and Google.
When it comes to the freedom of speech, those two platforms could, basically, censor whatever you can read, access on your smartphone.
They make very clear that if we fail to comply with their guidelines, as they call it, Telegram could be removed from the [app] stores.

Though most of us have heard of the Bermuda Triangle, where planes and ships have mysteriously gone missing in the Atlantic Ocean for decades, not all are aware that there is a similar place in Nevada.
Lying in a region of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Nevada and California, some 2,000 planes have been lost in the last 60 years. In this remotely populated area of more than 25,000 miles of mountain desert, many crash sites are never found.

The triangle is typically defined as Las Vegas, Nevada in the southeast to Fresno, California in the west, and Reno, Nevada at the top. Within this rugged wilderness is the mysterious, top-secret Area 51.
Along with the dozens of conspiracy theories that include UFOs and paranormal activity surrounding the air force base, similar theories have long been considered regarding the Nevada Triangle.
Many of the missing planes were flown by experienced pilots throughout these many years and disappeared under mysterious circumstances, with the wreckage never found.

One such plane to go missing with that of a record-setting aviator, sailor, and adventurer named Steve Fossett on September 3, 2007. Fossett, flying a single-engine Bellanca Super Decathlon over Nevada’s Great Basin Desert, took off and never returned.
After hunting for a month for the plane, the search was called off, and on February 15, 2008, Fossett was declared dead. Later that year, on September 29th, Fossett’s identification cards were discovered in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California by a hiker.
A few days later, the crash site was discovered—approximately 65 miles from where the aviator initially took off. Two bones were later recovered a half-mile from the crash site, which was found to have belonged to Steve Fossett.

One of the earliest planes lost in the “Triangle” includes a story dating back 70 years when a B-24 bomber crashed in the Sierra Nevada mountains in 1943.
The bomber, taking flight on December 5th, was piloted by 2nd Lieutenant Willis Turvey and co-piloted by 2nd Lieutenant Robert M. Hester, carried four other crew members including 2nd Lieutenant William Thomas Cronin, serving as navigator; 2nd Lieutenant Ellis H. Fish, bombardier; Sergeant Robert Bursey, engineer; and Sergeant Howard A. Wandtke, radio operator.
The flight was a routine night training mission taking off from Fresno, California’s Hammer Field destined to Bakersfield, California, to Tucson, and return.

An extensive search mission began the next day when nine B-24 Bombers were sent out to find the missing plane. However, rather than finding it, yet another bomber went missing.
On the morning of December 6, 1943, Squadron Commander Captain William Darden lifted off along with eight other B-24’s.
Captain Darden, his airplane, and the remaining crew would not be seen until 1955, when Huntington Lake reservoir was drained for repairs to the dam.

The investigation into the second bomber’s loss stated that Darden had experienced high wind turbulence and began to lose hydraulic pressure. When the captain saw what looked like a snow-covered clearing, he told his crew to bail out, but only two jumped.
The investigation stated that the pilot must have mistaken the frozen lake for a clearing; however, the two soldiers who parachuted from the plane and survived made statements that the lake was not frozen.
When the plane was finally found, it was resting 190 feet below the water with its five crew members still at their stations.

In the meantime, Clinton Hester, the co-pilot’s father, Robert Hester, in the first missing plane, began a private search for his son that would last for the next 14 years. When he died of a heart attack in 1959, he still had not found his son or any missing plane evidence.
A year later, however, it would be found in July 1960 by United States Geological Survey researchers working in a remote section of the High Sierra, west of LeConte Canyon in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
There, they found airplane wreckage in and near an unnamed lake. Later, Army investigators revealed the wreckage to be that of the first missing bomber piloted by 2nd Lieutenant Willis Turvey and co-piloted by 2nd Lieutenant Robert M. Hester.

The lake is now known as Hester Lake. Another military plane went missing on May 9, 1957, when Air Force Lieutenant David Steeves was piloting a T-33 training jet.
Taking off from Hamilton Air Force Base, near San Francisco, the plane disappeared on a flight to Arizona. After a thorough search without success, the Air Force declared the 23-year-old pilot officially dead.
However, 54 days later, the pilot reappeared. Guant and dressed in tattered and filthy clothing, he had made his way to a camp in Kings Canyon National Park’s back-country, east of Fresno, California.

He described that when something in the plane exploded, he briefly blackout but came to in time to eject from the plane, badly injuring both ankles when he landed.
Dragging his parachute to help him keep warm, he crawled over 20 miles in the freezing temperatures at 12,000 feet elevation for 15 days without food or shelter.
Finally, he came upon an abandoned National Park Service cabin, where he found a few cans of food and fishing equipment. He then survived by fishing and killed a deer with his pistol.

After regaining some of his strength tried to make it to civilization, during which time, he nearly drowned in the Kings River before stumbling upon a pack-train guide who took him by horse to civilization.
Though clearly a brave man, some questioned his story due to his disappearance occurring in the midst of the Cold War and because no remains of his plane could be found.
It wasn’t until 1977 that Boy Scouts found his jet’s canopy, but the plane’s wreckage has never been found.

In 1941 Lieutenant Leonard C. Lydon parachuted to safety after his Army fighter squadron got lost over the mountains. His P-40 fell within a mile of where he landed in the remote Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. To this day, the wreckage has never been found.
Another famous case was of missing aviator Charles Ogle, a wealthy real estate developer who lifted off from Oakland, California in August 1964 but vanished en route to Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Marine Corps trained pilot was never seen or heard from again, and his plane has never been found. On July 11, 1986, Major Ross Mulhare flew an F-117 into a mountain near Bakersfield, California. The cause of the crash has never been officially revealed.

So, what is it exactly that’s causing aircraft to go missing within the Nevada Triangle?
Conspiracy theorists have long claimed the reason so many flights have disappeared is connected to the presence of Area 51, where the US Air Force is known to test secret prototype aircraft.
But, many experts believe the disappearances can be attributed to the area’s geography and atmospheric conditions.

The Sierra Nevada mountains run perpendicular to the Jet Stream, or high Pacific winds, which conspire with the sheer, high altitude peaks and wedge-shaped range to create volatile, unpredictable winds and downdrafts.
This weather phenomenon is sometimes called the “Mountain Wave,” where planes are seemingly ripped from the air and crashed.
Other theories include pilot error, inexperienced pilots getting caught in turbulence, and the disorienting mountain terrain.

While observers predicted a war of Israel against one of its neighbors, the Hebrew State is not attacked from anywhere. It has opponents, but no enemy, except itself. Its political organization is not defined by any constitution and is therefore easy to overthrow.
The Straussians, who are in power in the State Department and the White House, are now driving the change of its regime.

Demonstrations are taking place throughout the country to prevent the country from becoming, in the words of a former Mossad director, a racist and violent state that cannot survive. But it is probably already too late.
For the past two years, Israelis have been divided and unable to choose a government. After five general elections, they decided to dismiss the Lapid/Gantz team and put a new coalition around Benjamin Netanyahu in power.
However, two months after the formation of the new government, they have changed their minds again. A majority of Israelis already don’t want the people they chose.

Indeed, to everyone’s surprise, Benjamin Netanyahu has formed a coalition with small Jewish supremacist parties. He has promised them to:

However, the Prime Minister was keen to distance himself from his allies. He declared that he would never allow his faith to be used to deny services to an Israeli citizen.
There will be electricity on Shabbat. There will be [mixed] swimming beaches. We will maintain the status quo. There will be no country [governed] by Halakha [Jewish law].
There will be no amendment of the Law of Return (the Prime Minister’s allies require that any candidate for return prove that he or she has a Jewish parent in the strict sense of the word).

He disavowed his son, Yair Netanyahu, for whom the judges who indicted him while he was still Prime Minister are traitors and must be punished as such. Finally, he elected the only openly gay member of parliament, Amir Ohana, president of the Knesset.
As shocking as this program is, it is not important.
Benjamin Netanyahu has announced an overhaul of the judicial system that challenges the balance of power on which this unconstitutional country has been based until now, to the point that his opponents are calling it a right out coup.

The demonstrations followed one another and grew in number. At first, they were only from the center and the left. Then former allies of Benjamin Netanyahu joined in, and now right-wing groups and, finally, some Arabs.
Drawing a parallel between the current Netanyahu government and the Nazi regime, former Chief of Staff General Moshe Ya’alon said, that the Jewish people paid a heavy price.
For the fact that in democratic elections in Germany, a government came to power that eliminated democracy, and the first thing it eliminated was the fundamental democratic principle of the independence of the judiciary.

Moshe Ya’alon is a long-time opponent of Benjamin Netanyahu, but in a few weeks, former allies of the Prime Minister have agreed.
Former Likud justice minister and deputy prime minister under Netanyahu, Dan Meridor, spoke at the main demonstration outside the Knesset on February 20. Who would have thought that we would need to defend democracy in Israel, but it is under attack.
Former Mossad director Tamir Pardo, chosen by Benjamin Netanyahu at the time, is now one of the coordinators of the protests. In an interview with Kan Public Radio, he accused the Prime Minister of reforming the justice system only to escape it personally.

In addition, he accused elements of the government coalition of wanting to build a racist and violent state that cannot survive.
Former Shin Bet director Yoram Cohen, who was also chosen by Benjamin Netanyahu at the time, told a right-wing rally.
The proposed reform will change the structure of government in Israel, since the executive branch – headed by the Prime Minister – will have unlimited power. The checks and balances necessary for a democratic society will disappear.

Every citizen must be concerned about such a situation, regardless of political affiliation. The reform in its current state, [imposed] with brutality and [developed] without dialogue with all components of the nation, could lead to disaster.
Several petitions from economists and high-tech entrepreneurs have sounded the alarm that the announced reforms will scare off foreign investors. 56 world-renowned economists, including 11 Nobel Prize winners, published an open letter.
Israel’s ruling coalition is considering a series of legislative acts that would weaken the independence of the judiciary and its power to compel government action.
Many Israeli economists, in an open letter which some of us joined, expressed their concern that such a reform would harm the Israeli economy by weakening the rule of law and thus displacing Israel towards Hungary and Poland.
The justice reform plan will be carried out in four phases, of which, for the moment, only the first phase has been presented to the public.
/Akko-Acre-Zeituna-Mosque-PikiWiki-Israel-Avishai-Teicher-56a5cc7c5f9b58b7d0de8413-d431c2e66fc243269652617940883615.jpg?resize=696%2C527&ssl=1)
This phase (phase I) includes ;
(1) legislating an override provision that would allow the Knesset to pass a second time by a simple majority legislation that was struck down by the Supreme Court;
(2) eliminate the standard of reasonableness for judicial decisions;
(3) strengthen the power of the governing coalition in the Judicial Appointments Committee;
(4) weaken the status of legal advisors in government ministries.

Phase II : will make the Basic Law on Human Dignity and Liberty a mere text with no more value than any other law. It can therefore be easily replaced.
Phase III : will limit the right of appeal to the Supreme Court.
Phase IV : will divide the current powers of the Attorney General. A second body, a chief prosecutor, will be the only authority to bring politicians to justice.

This reform will change the nature of Israel completely. It is openly supported by two think tanks, the Kohelet Policy Forum and the Law and Liberty Forum.
The latter is inspired by one of the groups that make up the Federalist Society in the United States; the association that secretly drafted the USA Patriot Act and imposed it on the occasion of the September 11 attacks.
The Law and Liberty Forum is funded by the Tikvah Fund, which is chaired by the US-Israeli neo-conservative Elliott Abrams (known for his role in the Iran-Contra affair and in numerous coups in Latin America.
The Federalist Society and the Law and Liberty Forum’s strategy is to change jurisprudence by changing judges.
Over a period of 30 years, the Federalist Society has succeeded in legally justifying neo-liberalism, limiting the possibilities of recourse against big business.
Deconstructing the way in which the Democratic Party had imagined the fight against discrimination and for the right to abortion, preventing the USA from joining a number of international treaties.
And, finally, transforming the balance of power in the USA so that the president can wage whatever wars he wants and practice torture.
The originality of the Federalist Society’s approach was to reinterpret the principles of Anglo-Saxon law. Drawing on the writings of the philosopher Leo Strauss, it substituted “natural law” for “positive law.
For example, during the 1980’s, President Ronald Reagan wanted to deregulate the economy, but he was constrained by law and could not.

A Federalist Society theorist, Professor Richard Epstein, argued that property was not a matter of positive law, i.e., conventions drawn up by legislators, but of natural law, i.e., that it was instituted by God.
Now, any regulation of an economic activity consists in limiting the way in which certain owners behave. Therefore, any regulation is an expropriation that requires compensation.
Thus, if a law, in the interest of the community, requires industrialists to produce only products of a certain quality, it limits their property rights, and they must therefore be compensated.

This interpretation of the law allowed President Ronald Reagan to deconstruct all pre-existing economic regulations.
Most of the Federalist Society’s adherents are just conservative or libertarian lawyers. They were only concerned with family law and economic law. However, within the Society, a small group became involved in international politics.
It is this group that influences Israel today. In the United States, it first succeeded in making American exceptionalism triumph.

This school of thought refuses to apply international treaties in domestic law; judges the behavior of others harshly, but absolves Americans who do the same on principle; and refuses to allow any international jurisdiction to take an interest in its internal affairs.
In short, it believes that, for religious reasons, the United States is not comparable to other states and should not be subject to any international law. This US ideology is perfectly compatible with the political interpretation of the theological theory of the chosen people.
If from a religious point of view this means that men who turn to God have been chosen by him, understood literally, it means that men are unequal, with the Jews being above the gentiles (in Hebrew, the “goyim“).

The other major struggle of this Federalist Society group was to overturn the non-delegation doctrine.
American jurists believed that the separation of constitutional powers did not allow the executive to encroach on the privileges of the legislature and to define the criteria for the application of a law.
Now, the opposite is true: the separation of powers prohibits the Legislative branch from interfering with the activities of the Executive branch.

The Congress thus loses its power to control the White House. It is on the basis of this sleight of hand that President George W. Bush was able to launch a series of wars and to generalize torture.
The links between this Federalist Society group and the Israeli Likud are not new. In 2003, Elliott Abrams organized the Jerusalem Summit with the participation of almost all Israeli political groups.
He said that there would be no peace in the world until Israel crushes the Palestinians’ demands.

Following this logic, once the Netanyahu government was formed, General Avi Bluth, commander of Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, distributed a book to his officers:
Ours in Tabu: The Secrets of Land Redeemers from our Father Abraham to the Young Settlements. It presents as divine will the Jewish occupation of Palestine, whether by land purchase or violence, from Abraham to the illegal settlements.
The first visible consequence of this shift and propaganda occurred in the West Bank when 400 settlers from Har Bracha attacked the town of Huwara. They intended to take revenge for the murder of two of their number, allegedly by Palestinians from that town.

For five hours, they pelted the inhabitants, burned several hundred cars and 36 houses. Under the eyes of the Israeli army, which sealed off the village to prevent its inhabitants from fleeing, they attacked them, injuring more than 400 people and killing one.
Far from condemning the violence, the Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, regretted that private individuals had done what he said was the responsibility of the state: to annihilate the village.
In the statements of its leaders, the ruling coalition, already complicit in these abuses, announces that it will use the means of the state to extend them to the entire Arab population, not only Palestinians, but also Israeli Arabs.

Mass demonstrations follow one another in Israel, while foreign politicians sympathetic to Israel multiply their warnings. But nothing happens. The process is underway. Bezalel Smotrich sees the Arabs as wild animals that must be tamed by force.
But the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, approaches the issue from a different point of view. For him, God gave the land to the Jews who must expel the Arab squatters from it.
Regardless of the points of view, all members of the coalition agree on one thing: the government is sovereign and should not be restricted by laws. This suits Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is under judicial investigation.

What is going on in Israel is not just about Israelis and Palestinians. Elliott Abrams is a historic Straussian, even more so than the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and his deputy, Victoria Nuland.
It is therefore foreseeable that if the reform of the Israeli justice system continues, the new regime will be fully aligned with the positions of the Straussians.
For the time being, Israel refuses to send arms to Ukraine according to the principle of General Benny Gantz: No Israeli arms should reach the mass murderers of Jews.

The risk of an alliance between Ukrainian integral nationalists, American “Straussians” and Israeli revisionist Zionists has never been greater.
The USA has just banned the Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich, from visiting its territory. They still sanction his racist remarks, but for how long?

Finally, after years of research, the US Army’s Project Jedi seemed to be on the verge of success, after they managed to kill a goat using nothing more than the psychic power of the mind.
Project Jedi was a top-secret military project to create a breed of ‘super-soldier’. If all went according to plan, the Jedi Warriors would revolutionize warfare. They would be fantastically strong and possess superior intelligence, cunning and intuition.

They would use psychic remote viewing to spy on the enemy, disable nuclear bombs with telekinesis, and effortlessly kill with the power of thought alone. But not only that, they would have the ability to become invisible at will and to walk through walls.
You might think that Project Jedi had been a dream by Hollywood scriptwriters eager to tempt audiences with a delightfully crazy plot.
Indeed, the project does lie at the heart of released Hollywood blockbuster The Men Who Stare At Goats starring George Clooney and Ewan McGregor.

But what is less well known is that the US military did try to create a breed of ‘super-soldier’ capable of walking through walls and killing by thought alone.
Even more bizarrely, the fruits of Project Jedi and several other clandestine paranormal projects were actively used in battle and are almost certainly being employed in the proxy war against Syria and other targeted oil-rich nations.
These ideas were not considered wacky. They were seen as the next military frontier. We needed to know whether it was possible to use paranormal forces for military ends. We also needed to know how to protect ourselves should they be used against the USA.

Back in 1983 Major General Albert Stubblebine III was at the height of his powers. He was one of America’s most distinguished soldiers and chief of US Army Intelligence with 16,000 soldiers under his command.
General Stubblebine controlled the army’s signals, photographic and technical intelligence, and numerous covert spying operations around the world.
He was instrumental in the US invasions of Panama and Grenada. It is no exaggeration to say that Albert Stubblebine III was at the heart of America’s military machine.

In the late 1970’s General Stubblebine became convinced that America’s next war would be fought with the psychic powers of the mind as well as with conventional bombs, bullets and media propaganda messages.
His reasoning lay in the numerous covert psychic projects that the US military had been secretly funding for decades.
Very few in the military had even heard of the Stargate Project, MK Ultra and Project Jedi. General Stubblebine, however, had been following them intently and funding some of them lavishly.
The military initially focused on ‘remote viewing’, the scientific term for clairvoyance and ESP. They reasoned that training soldiers to view distant locations using nothing more than the power of their mind could be immensely useful on the battlefield. And so they created the Stargate Project to explore such phenomena.
The directors of Stargate began by funding scientists at the Stanford Research Institute in California, one of America’s most prestigious science academies.
Very soon, Stanford played host to more than a dozen psychic spies. Their skills were once demonstrated to President Jimmy Carter when they were used to search for a downed aircraft.

But the scientists investigating remote viewing found them to be surprisingly accurate and the military found them useful too.
Joe McMoneagle was a Vietnam veteran and “Remote Viewer Number 1”. His primary role was to use remote viewing to look inside Russian military bases and gather intelligence.
The military was not content to use psychics merely to gather intelligence. They wanted to go further and use them for offensive purposes too.
This drive soon turned to paranoia when the Americans learned of a huge Russian program to develop psychic and ‘psychometric’ weapons. Over 40 Russian institutes were involved.
In any case, American laws (and ethics) forbade the development of psychotronic weapons, so they focused their attention on such psychic abilities as psychokinesis – the supposed power to move objects using the power of the mind.
In the late 1960s, American scientists discovered that focusing bitter, vindictive and negative thoughts on mold – the scientific equivalent of the Gypsy’s curse – inhibited its growth.
And if all that wasn’t strange enough, in later experiments some of those attempting to influence the mold were stationed 15 miles away. Other scientists soon found that negative thoughts could also slow the growth of the food poisoning bug E. coli.
The military immediately saw the implications of this work. If DMILS could be harnessed by their psychic spies, they would become the perfect assassins. It morphed into Project Jedi at Fort Bragg, headquarters of US Special Forces.
News of the U.S. military’s involvement with psychic spying and the Jedi Warriors gradually leaked out. The psychic programs had always been controversial within the military.

Many opposed them on religious grounds, they were seen as Satanic, others saw them as deeply irrational and unfitting for a modern military. It was hardly surprising then, that General Stubblebine was quietly retired.
The Stargate Project was then downsized and eventually transferred to the CIA before being closed down.
In 1995, the Pentagon finally confirmed that they had indeed investigated paranormal phenomena in the national interest. They argued that because the Russians were using psychics, the USA must investigate such phenomena too.

Accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in Oregon in 2000, child sex offender, Jimmy Julius Karow fled to Israel before authorities in the USA could apprehend him or figure out where he went. He is a wanted man and is considered dangerous.
Karow has been running from U.S. law enforcement ever since. Currently INTERPOL, an inter-governmental policing organization that works with 194 countries, has a Red Notice to alert police worldwide that he’s a fugitive.

Two years after he fled the USA, Karow was convicted by an Israeli court of child molestation in a separate case. He served time and was released.
Now another alleged Israeli victim has come forward, saying he began abusing her when she was 5-years-old, and continued for years.
Karow has successfully evaded authorities by moving between communities in Israel for almost two decades, and he is not alone.

A CBS News investigation has found that many accused American pedophiles flee to Israel, and bringing them to justice can be difficult.
Jewish Community Watch (JCW), an American organization that tracks accused pedophiles, has been trying for years to find Karow and help bring him to justice.
JCW says Karow and other wanted men and women have been able to exploit a right known as the Law of Return, whereby any Zionist person can move to Israel and automatically gain citizenship.

Since the small organization started tracking accused pedophiles in 2014, it says more than 60 have fled from the USA to Israel. Given its limited resources to identify these individuals, JCW says the actual number of child sex offenders is likely much larger.
The same thing that is going on in the Catholic Church right now around the world, the exact same thing is happening in our community, JCW’s founder Meyer Seewald told CBS News. The cover-ups are the same, the stigma, the shame.
Seewald says tightly-knit Jewish communities across the USA will sometimes meet accusations against a member with incredulity, and that can have a chilling effect.

One of the girls Karow allegedly abused in Israel is “Amoona.” She asked us not to use her real name, to protect her family.
I was 5, 4 or 5 years old. My mother was on bedrest. My father is a rabbi so he wasn’t home. (Karow) used to come to our house. We used to play games and then it became sexual.
The alleged abuse took place over the course of more than two years. A July 2019, Israeli indictment against him details allegations of severe sexual abuse, including rape and sodomy. She says he would threaten and manipulate her to keep her quiet.

I’m going to give you a cookie because you do it so nicely. It’s all about the cookie it’s all about lying and it’s all about being so evil to a little child, Amoona recalls him telling her. He also threatened and to kill my parents. He would choke me. He would hold me.
Amoona is angry that Karow was allowed to enter Israel in the first place, but JCW’s chief operating officer Shana Aaronson says the failure begins in the USA. She says there are elements of the Jewish community in the U.S. that are willing to help pedophiles escape.
Oftentimes there’s some sort of community incentive, either somebody owes them a favor or someone in the community, let’s say an institution, has covered up for them in the past and they know that if this goes to court there’s a lot of civil liability coming down the line.

While Aaronson puts blame on Jewish communities in the USA and Washington for not aggressively pursuing extraditions, she says Israeli authorities have also failed to prioritize the hunt for suspects.
She tells CBS News it would be easier for the police to locate and arrest Karow, for instance, but it has fallen instead on the JCW to track him down. They don’t even do a Google search.

Israel is known as a nation on the cutting edge of technology, but Shana says that doesn’t trickle down to local law enforcement. Shana says police don’t request background checks of perpetrators arrested in Israel who have recently moved there from other countries.
The general standards and protocols for investigations by local police are poor. JCW says the problem reaches into the upper echelons of Israeli politics as well.

They note that Yaakov Litzman, leader of an ultra-orthodox alliance in Israel’s legislature and the current minister of health, has been accused of preventing the deportation of a Malka Leifer, a former head teacher at a Jewish school in Australia, where she is wanted on multiple charges of child sexual abuse.
CBS News obtained an Israeli police recommendation that says there is enough evidence against Litzman to recommend he be charged himself with fraud and breach of trust for protecting Leifer.
Litzman’s office told CBS News there was not any wrongdoing. It’s now up to Israel’s attorney general to decide whether to indict the lawmaker.

Israeli police wouldn’t comment on specific cases but insist they take the cases seriously, and that they coordinate closely with the Ministry of Justice and worldwide police organizations in order to find suspects overseas.
The U.S. Department of Justice declined to comment on specific cases too but praised their relationship with Israel’s law enforcement, adding sex offenders have been successfully extradited in the past.
On the day of the stakeout, JCW received its best tip in months — that Karow was going to be at a clinic in Tel Aviv. They know he is 6’2″ and over 200 pounds, but he could have changed his appearance, and previous attempts to capture him have failed.

An ambulance pulls up and a man steps out with a bandaged right arm. He fits the description of Karow. Aaronson’s team confirms his identity and calls the police. Within five minutes a police officer on a motorcycle arrives and they move in to make the arrest.
Karow is brought out by two officers. He doesn’t look surprised to be in custody. We ask him if he assaulted a girl in the USA. No, he replies.

He denies fleeing to Israel but doesn’t answer when asked if he assaulted girls in that country. He says he knows he’s wanted under an international arrest warrant. Karow now faces charges in both Israel and the USA.
Outside the clinic, Aaronson calls Amoona to share the news of Karow’s capture. In Israel, victims are allowed to confront alleged offenders before trial. Amoona brought a box of the same cookies Karow used to manipulate her, to throw back at him.
It was good to confront him, she says. To have that closure in my derailed life.

Automobile inventories may be rising, but consumers are much more reluctant to purchase than they were six months ago. With interest rates still climbing, more and more consumers continue to steer away from vehicle purchases.
In response, many automobile distributors have begun lowering prices or offering large discounts/rebates to help clear out inventory. More and more U.S. vehicle manufacturers like Ford are turning their attention to EV’s.

This should come as little surprise considering the demand for electric vehicles has risen steadily in recent years. However, the car manufacturing industries globally are changing to meet this demand head-on.
For instance, Ford recently announced that it would carry out a large layoff of its European employee base. Around 3,800 employees will be cut from Ford’s workforce as it refocuses its efforts on EV manufacturing.
However, the zero-carbon emission push is more than just a U.S. phenomenon. European companies like Volvo, BMW, and Volkswagen have also stepped up their EV game in recent years.

Indeed, Volkswagen has even taken it upon itself to create its own EV battery recycling facilities to recycle lithium-ion batteries.
The result of these efforts is a changing global auto industry. As car manufacturers see opportunity in producing more electric vehicles, more experts predict the market will change in that same direction.
Metals like cobalt, lead, and nickel should enjoy solid long-term demand as the world attempts to manufacture more EV batteries. Despite this, short-term lithium and cobalt prices dropped at the end of December, 2022.

The market saw another sharp drop in the lithium price index at the beginning of February. Fortunately, lithium was not hit quite as hard by China’s high post-zero-COVID infection rate as steel and other metals.
This is mainly due to most of the world’s lithium coming from Chile and Argentina. Unfortunately, this only accounts for raw lithium materials.
China remains a top producer of the actual lithium-ion batteries. Thus, the price index still saw some impacts from the high Covid-19 numbers.

China is the largest market for electric vehicles in the world. Germany was the second until the USA just displaced Europe’s largest economy as EV sales accelerated.
BloombergNEF data shows the USA is now the world’s second-largest EV market, shifting Germany down to the third spot. Last year, nearly one million EV’s were sold in the USA, compared with 650,000 in 2021.
Last month, Tesla slashed the prices of its vehicles so buyers could take advantage of the $7,500 US government tax credit. Now the Model Y sold out until April. Electrek’s Fred Lambert said the price cuts sparked unprecedented demand in the USA.

Meanwhile, Ford shares stumbled this past week after it paused production and shipments of its electric F-150 Lightning pickup due to a potential battery issue.
The Biden administration is the biggest proponent of electrifying America’s future, pushing for d-carbonization across the entire transportation system.
On the local level, California, New York, and other states are moving to phase out the sale of gasoline-powered cars by the end of the decade to mitigate the effects of climate change.

China has achieved a major breakthrough in quantum computing, performing a calculation that would take a modern-day supercomputer billions of years to complete.
The milestone, known as quantum supremacy, comes just over a year after Google became the first in the world to achieve the same feat.

The team from the University of Science and Technology of China built a quantum computer capable of performing computations nearly 100 trillion times faster than the world’s most powerful supercomputer.
China’s leading quantum computing researchers revealed that their next-generation machine used a completely different set up compared to Google, proving that there are multiple approaches to this nascent technology.
The researchers claimed their prototype was 10 billion times faster than Google’s machine, the state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Quantum computers were first theorized nearly 40 years ago by the physicist Richard Feynman, but practical machines are only now beginning to be realized.
They work by replacing traditional bits – the ‘1’s’ and ‘0’s’ used to encode digital information – with quantum bits, or qubits.
These are able to function as both a ‘1’ and a ‘0’ at the same time by existing in a state of superposition, meaning each new qubit added to the computer increases is power exponentially rather than linearly.

However security experts have also warned that the unfathomably fast computers pose a major threat to modern forms of encryption that systems of finance, communication and government currently rely upon.
This could ultimately pose a threat to national security, with the United States already warning that advances in China could see the USA fall behind in the technological arms race.

The emergence of quantum computers holds the promise of making information processing exponentially more powerful in order to transform everything from disease treatment, to eliminating traffic.
The USA must be prepared for a future in which its traditional technological predominance faces new, perhaps unprecedented challenges.
